eBay representative queries public records database, asking a) the name of my watercraft, b) the year, make and model of my vehicle, c) what professional licenses I may have, d) how long I have lived at my listed address, and e) when I purchased the property listed as my current address.

I had no clue as to the answers, and was given 5 answer choices for each question, and at the end of the call, was reinstated, and allowed to sell.

Seems like your IP contact method is questionable.

Also you might have been listing too quickly.

What AmEx VCC is this you used?

Used HMA VPN, so maybe issue with that.

Definitely listed too quickly, but it's kind of outrageous that listing cheap books would trigger that kind of scrutiny.

Used AMEX Pre-Paid Gift Card second time, since I had popped the cherry on the first card with the fictitious name account—didn't want those accounts to be linked.

yep that is ur issue HMA VPN is crappy. if u use a VPN use one thats uncommon it will have a better surival rate.

How did you get the amex prepaid gift card to work? Could not get pp to take it. My expiry date was 04/20 and can't register it online...

Call AMEX to register the Name and Address. I couldn't figure a way to do it online.

no crap u can do this? wow thats great to know. wish they could do it online cause it would be a pita when u used 10-15 cards a day

No one may care about this, but one thing worth noting: when purchasing a pre-paid debit card, a record of the location where the card is authorized (Retail, Grocery, Pharmacy, etc.) is maintained, and in some cases, can be displayed with minimal security.

For example, the AMEX gift cards' balance can be checked online without registering, by entering in the full card number and the 3 digits on the back of the card. Upon logging in, you should plainly see the location where the card was activated, e.g. "XYZ Supermarket."

While this may not be a high security concern for those looking to convince eBay of their legitimacy, it would be a security concern for anyone fearing police involvement, now or in the future, as the cards used can, and will, be traced back to the time, location, and even cash register used to activate the card, leaving photo evidence of your purchase.

These few amex gcs I received begin with 3723 and are in Canadian funds. Different number to contact to register but I will try. Have been failing with pp and am az on (very badly with the latter)
