Exclamation Buyer provided the wrong address.

Friends , ladies , gentleman and aliens amongst you, I welcome your advice!

So I sold a product to someone and now they are claiming that I sent it to the wrong address and left me a negative feedback already. Apparently what happened was that they forgot to change their old address to their current. Fortunately buyer says that it is either their friends or relatives living at the old address and they sent it back. But since it's a stealth address I am afraid they might have sent it to that the fictitious adders and not my real address located on a separate 4X2 label. He also did not provide me with any tracking number. How should I go about it? What should I do ?

Try to reason with them and ask them to remove the feedback and you will issue a full refund while letting them keep the package. While they are at fault for having the wrong addy, you need to have access to your addresses for returns.

If its not too expensive, chalk up the loss of the item and see if you can get the neg removed.

If they ask, tell them that you recently moved from your old address and if their family/friends get the package that they can keep it.

If its a high ticket item...you might be at a loss since you dont have access to the address.

Wait there, something doesn't sound right.

You sent a package to the wrong address and these people have sent it back, correct me if I am wrong but the only address these people could possibly have is the one you included in the package. The only way they would get your stealth address is by speaking to the buyer, and surely they would put 2 and 2 together and say hey we got a package in your name to your old address is it yours?

This is why they always say have access to the address. I personally don't because I set up 100s of accounts then pick and choose after they age. But with every package include something nice, a custom postcard etc detailing exactly what to do in case of a return. And write the address on the paper which saves you from compromising your account by saying it in a message.

What I do is...I use my P.O Box address for all stealth addresses...meaning I put my P.O. Box as the return address. If people return an item (usually 1-3 a year) I have them return to that address. If people ask why to that address? I tell them that's the address to the "Company" who handles the returns for me. Never had a problem.

Simple.Done.

even the most sneakiest buyers know they are in the wrong and they (mostly) have a conscience
