Good information, I was wondering about this myself. When I'm watching items that I plan to sell in auction format, the top 3-5 final bids are always above the cut-off margin for profit. It makes sense to do second chance offers and get like 2-5 sales in one auction.
I was wondering if this would be a red flag to eBay though, but it looks like captainjack answered that question.
