Question Lifting limits, what are the secrets???

Okay, have a ebay account which has been active for 8 months now. Reaching my £3500 limit for the past 3 months.

I remember reading on here that we should reach our limit each month then eventually it will be automatically have the selling limits risen higher. Anyone care to elaborate on that in a little more detail?

Its a legit account so i could call to get it lifted but already i have a VERO strike on the account and i STUPIDLY put my wifes wrong DOB when i registered the account (i dont know what i put) but when we called ebay to confirm our identity 6 months ago the lady told us on the phone we got the DOB wrong. So i rather steer clear of ebay on the phone.

There are no secrets.

Limits will be raised only when e/b decide you warrant one. A VERO strike will not help.

VeRo is strange, ive been listing the same item for 8 months but 1 time they got a auction removed. Very odd. The vero strike expires feb and yes i agree it will not help me in lifting the limits.

Can i use 2 accounts to sell? is that allowed? i currently use 2 accounts but 1 is for buying only.

Selling limit apply across all accounts owned by the same person.

That's why we all have multiple stealth accounts that are not linked to each other

You may have left this too late.

Sellers who try attaching a 2nd account to sell 'more' have had their overall limits reduced.

I would avoid such actions big time

Exactly stated. As for waiting for higher limits, keep selling - offer great service and let the limits rise naturally.

Still i cannot relist after what seems 3 weeks now.

I have contacted ebay to find out when i can relist items and they said there is no way to check and that i must call to raise my limits.

Obviously with 1 strike i do not want to do this.

I have taken 2 weeks+ off work and i cannot relist ANYTHING on ebay, its a real bummer.

Also my account says the following:

Your December selling activity
Items Amount

You have sold
59
£3,509.05

You have listed (active)
5
£6.42

You can list
36
£0.00

Out of 100 Out of £3,500.00

Note i have sold/listed over £3500 but my limit states £3500, whats this about?

Also this month i became powerseller, shortly followed by top rated. Surely my limits should be lifted completely for these titles alone.

Anyone know what the NEXT highest limit is after £3500/100items???

It's quite possible to sell over your limit amount, especially with auctions. But once you reach the limit, you won't be able to list more until some auctions end without selling or you end them manually. Or wait until next month.

For me, the secret is not to contact eBay. If you have limits, move onto the next account and come back later when you can sell again.

Agree with imjustme - I dont like to contact eB for potential manual check and also, not to deal with those agents who have less of an understanding of the system than we do at times.

1 more week should reset your limits J4G3D

I have successfully linked 2 accounts on all my stealth set-ups. I have gotten limits increased as well as category listings.
