You can do an mc999 verify call-in by phone 24/7. I have done calls at 3AM with the blokes in India or wherever they are.

I guess only way to know is to try it.

I believe someone posted they tried the chat and was told to call the number for that issue.

I reported some idiot scammer over a chat session and the problem got resolved there and then.

And BTW, you can request a callback from eBay... so you don't pay a cent to talk to them.
