I had a buyer purchase two items from me. I have a history of sending one item in a envelope and sending multiple in a box. I print all my labels off eBay. They buyer claimed they only received one of the two. I called him out as my inventory showed otherwise. He immediately filed negative feedback. I bitched to eBay. He had a history of being a jerk about stuff. I reported him to eBay and gave them my side of the story. I have over 2,000 feedback and had not had a negative in 3+ years on this account. The feedback was removed after about 4 days. Today on eBay reputation goes a long way. Had this guy had a clean rep and more than 30 feeds even if he was a scammer it probably would have not gotten removed. But because he had a semi-shady rep and my rep was immaculate they decided in my favor.
He said otherwise and they choose his word over yours.
Sounds like he was a powerseller/TRS. Obviously had better standing with ebay than you thought.
I keep saying it but being on eBay and PayPal now. Your history and reputation is similar to a credit score. The more history and positive reputation you have with them the less likely you are to have any issues. Especially as a seller.
I already knew we had a similar philosophy. Just wish some of the people asking the same repetitive questions might be able to comprehend this if presented in this manner. Or using this analogy.

This is 100% correct and on the money.
I am finding this out myself with some of my older accounts.
