Were both of the packages that did not scan gift cards?
Did you put them in a bubble pouch etc?

At times you won't see it until the customer has it. I hate it also!

I read this last week I didn't even realized this existed. My Postman no longer gives me the look when picking up my shipments. My Stamps.com account pulls all stealth shipments into 1 scan form.

Do you mean the postage to print? Cause on ebay you got 1 full page, and only the top part is the postage, and I got to take a screen shot, cut, paste, and size it for just the part I need then save it as a .jpg file then open up word doc. and put it in there, and then it prints nicely on these sheets I use.
Does Stamps just have the postage done ready to go or what? Could you give me some details? Thank you!

If anyone ever ask me how come you have so many different names and addresses ( and I have been asked plenty of times ) I always tell them I sell items for people who dont know how to list on ebay.
No more questions.

I would just say I drop ship for so many people it's a full time job! I offer a service.
Also POST OFFICE ask you this Sandy because by law they have to know, if you are doing too many things they want to know and they can report you!
I read online if you ask for a cashiers check for a large amount they give it to IRS, and if you have too many packages and arn't a business they also might and could report you, they have a forum to give fill out to give to the gov if they think you are up too no good!
So stay safe!

I have been doing this for 4 years, never a problem.
This dont happen anymore, only when I was starting out and using a small post office years ago. Now they have a wheeled cart with the name SANDY on it just for me!
I was told it is none of their business and only if they suspect a box might contain something they dont ship can they stick their nose in.
Problems back then were solved by telling what I posted.
Most clerks dont care, PO is cutting jobs in the USA like mad and they want as many packages as they can get in a day.
Nice to have a family member who works for the PO to get info also.

4 years or not, maybe they are looking for someone in the area and they MIGHT think you are that person they are looking for! They might say "okay could be fraud different names, taking peoples CC numbers, etc."
The worse place I had to deal with shipping was FRANCE! I had enough and was so fed up with the lady asking 1001 questions each day, I told her straight up, "Be happy you got a job cause of people like me, I bring so many packages too you and all you do is bs at me." This lady would always give me attitude for no reason, after a while I started giving it back to her. I would have my plastic mailers and ship my products in them and she looks at me and says "This won't make it to Australia you know?" and I tell her "look lady I got over 100 packages being shipped from the USA too all over the world by my friend but his on vacation so I have to take over now. It does get there, if it won't no problem." I swear she is like the worse person to deal with!
The guys at the post office in the states hate to deal with my packages to scan each one of them with the bar code!!! lol And he just tells them he works for a friend and does all my shipping!
Also be nice, funny, act like whatever you are doing = paycheck to paycheck and you only make like $.50 or $1 per package so they don't hate you for making more then them!
SANDY! LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL I LOVE IT!
Yeah I would also tell people, or have my friend tell the PO that many are losing their jobs and that people like me are keeping them running! My nephew who did my shipping for a year told this to a women once! Cause he would show up with 20+ packages and require tracking per package! lol SHE HATED IT!!!! Even my friend at first as soon as they would see him they would be like taking a big breathe of air! lol Knowing all the work they got to do! lol
Well there you go! |

All the post offices near me have package drawers, I drop them in and go. I only talk to a counter clerk if it won't fit in the drawer.

It is true if you purchase too many postal money orders $1000 or whatever the maximum is frequently from the same post office they might get nosy about it. Back in 2007 or 2008 I use to get postal money orders frequently to pay one of my wholesalers at the time because I could save myself the 3% fee he charged when I used my Credit Card. It was the same post office I had my PO Box at. Thankfully one of the clerks who I had known for years gave me the heads up. Although I wasn't engaged in any illegal activity is always better to not have someone knocking on your door asking questions about something they have no business in. I believe it has something to do with money laundering laws related post 9/11.

Yup just what I said, not cause of 9/11 but they'll use that and say it's cause of 9/11.
It's to make sure you are not buying illegal stuff, drugs, and money laundering really. And I would just tell them straight up. I save 3% it's $30 I would have to work all day for this kind of money! Makes them think you are poor and a loser if $30 is a lot of money for you! So they'll think "this idiot is clean".
