USPS have repeated this mantra so often they believe it.
Nothing is further from the truth.
Their failures are more than their successes

just a random post office fact so im in line with my envelopes i wanted to make sure i got the international packages weight right,.
any way this guy tells me he sees some guy with a clicker following his postman arround house to house . he gets on his property and says who the heck are you and what are you doing.
he says I work for the post office and im counting his steps to check that he is walking the most efficient route .
so the the guys asks him oh ya well whose counting your steps soon in the US they wont be doing mail on saturdays,.
I still think their better than fedex or ups but i only ship first class envelopes

LOL he gets so pissed because he actually got in trouble for this, I swear! lol

Do you mean the postage to print? Cause on ebay you got 1 full page, and only the top part is the postage, and I got to take a screen shot, cut, paste, and size it for just the part I need then save it as a .jpg file then open up word doc. and put it in there, and then it prints nicely on these sheets I use. |
No way dude. You are joking I hope. How many labels do you do like this a day? What size labels are you using?

Zoneout - No I am not joking! I have to take a screen shot! All the time been doing it like this for 5 months.
11 by 8.5 sheet.
Label size is 8.5 by 5.5
also Zoneout I don't ship myself my products are in the USA and I am in Europe. I started out again this month, but normally 1 to 12 per day. Still takes up a lot of time and tiring. Then I got to put that file into word doc so they can print it into a large file with all the orders on those sheets of paper labels. I wish I could get something to take off the time of doing this. I do first class only for all my shipping.

LOL I was ashamed!!!! To even say this in the forums to ask for help!
Anyways I know about the label printers, and the small ones that don't use up ink. The thing is. I am in EUROPE! And the guy is in the USA! I don't want to rely on him to do it on top of it.
lol.
He just downloads the file, puts the paper in, and prints it and voila it's done. But in the near future with 20 stealth accounts and so many orders. I'll have to find a solution.

Thank you Slim Jim, but I still got long ways to go before I get there. Next month on the First I am starting my 1st stealth account. Once I get too like 3 or 4 hours worth of time frame or at least an hour I'll ask around. I still got lots of time before this. I might just hire my niece for like $10 or $20 per hour to do it for me.

I am not worried about it yet but once I get a lot of orders each day and it starts taking hours I'll try.
I am also in Europe and my shipping guy is in the USA! I don't think those machines etc. I could do the work from here and print from there etc. I don't want the guy doing more work for me! I don't want them to have access to my passwords/accounts either. And doing it like that. If not I'll just pay someone as I always have, to just build me a program that takes a screen shot of whatever I'll select with the mouse and save it side ways on a file for me.
Will run me $100 to $200 for it but save me a lot of time. Once I am ready I'll ask in the forums for some type of a solution! Then I shall see!

Funny that this thread is around because I dropped off 4 packages (medium flat rate boxes) at a post office in town today. I usually go to MY post office where my PO BOX is at, but was running behind and just wanted them dropped off. So I put them in the big box drop inside the lobby. Cool right....well, that was at 10am and nothing has been updated. No acceptance scan, no "I'm on my way out of XXXXX facility" or anything. When I drop off at MY post office, everything is always updated within a couple of hours. It shows acceptance, en route to XXXX facility, departing XXXXX facility, etc. Now I'm paranoid not seeing any scans whatsoever.

In my experience, very few places do an acceptance scan with prepaid labels unless you ask them to and then they can give you a hard time

USPS especially is a crap shoot. Tuesday, I didn't have my regular mail carrier yesterday. I gave them two first class mail packages with Delivery Confirmation. Nothing has been scanned in this far. I am just hoping for the best. Honestly, I have to say the best luck for USPS I have had is dropping prepaid packages off in the 24 hour postage machines if you have one near your. If you can do it during the day even better. But I try to hit them up 8-9 pm near my GYM. From time to time they are full but for the most part in 7+ years of sending items I have had the least problems with packages ever missing when I use the 24 hr postal machine box.

Dropping off packages in those bins guarantees nothing. You must get your items scanned in, especially for insurance purposes. If you have many packages at once you should use a scan form which gives u 1 barcode which scans in all items for that day
