Default With the new final value fees, are ebay stores worth it?

Now that the final value fees were raised to a flat rate of 10%, I was wondering what others think about ebay stores? These seems to be a lot of savings on the FVF. Who's going for it? And how to know if it will be worthwhile to you?

Just got a store on my main account. Probably going to end up getting them for all my stealth accounts. I don't see any negatives in having a store. Less money is good, no?

So whats your opinion in this?

Getting a store can be good but, is it for all sellers?

well i never did a store because you lost you 50 free listings.

me being full time 100% auction i had no need for this... but now, you keep the free listings + the listing cost drops + lower FVF . my numbers say get a store.

I don't know if it will save me money yet. But I do go away for weekends quite often. The convienance of setting an "away" status and putting items on sale might help me make the jump anyway.

Anyone know a prepaid card that you can use that will register with eBay? Would love to open a store on a few accounts. I use to use Simon Giftcards all the time but they stopped working for eBay about 3 years ago. They still work great for PayPal but eBay rejects them.

hey guys please tell me how to go about putting a card on file with ebay for the stores. i have many accounts and all with benefit highly. i will prolly save about $2k a month doing the stores.

when you put the card on file with ebay, do they take that money off of the card every month for the store or is it just billed to your monthly total with the rest of your fees?

let me know because i want to get this set up ASAP but im unsure of those things.

please help and answer back.

thanks a lot

steve

No you can by PayPal. I just don't which cards you can add to eBay anymore. Like I said above I used Simon Visa Cards for years. But in like 09' they stopped working for eBay. Still work on PayPal though.

This not so good news for backup accounts, basically those that get used less.

Signed up as well on my main account. Will have to see about others.

why isnt it? just pay for it by month if you need it. your backup accounts should still be somewhat active anyways. you always want to be selling something on them.

If you have multiple stealths to sell on and move a lot of products then for me a store is a waste.

I want to move product and run my auctions to keep a very high sell through rate so for me I only use it on my main legit account because I want to keep it active all the time without having to list constantly.

I work hard in building new baby stealths all the time and rotate lots of other accounts so no need for a store.

If you only run a few accounts and have product that is or has been slower to sell toss it into a store and list some newer things to test.

It has been mentioned above about the 50 free listings as well.

Just have to make decisions based on what is best for you.
