Item Not As Described Case
Me/Buyer :Ok I am a verified user with over a decade membership & a Feed Back score of 141, 100% positive.
Seller : 2 week old member with 0 Feedback, yea I know it was a huge risk.
Friday I purchased a very rare vintage gold necklace for 2,500$ the seller sent a bubble mailer (USPS 1st class,no insurance or confirmation, arrived Tues./yesterday) with what appears to be a small piece of plastic(I have not opened it because it is evident that there is no 73 gram chain in there). I took it to the P.O. to weigh it, it came to .70 LB & took pics of it on the scale & read out, which I have uploaded to the dispute console. Only thing he has uploaded is the postage receipt for get this 2.07$ on a 2,500$ item (shakes head) the receipt says the weight is 3 oz. should I re-weigh it as I was in a bit of a rush & disgusted when I threw it on the self serve kiosk scale.
The seller is saying of course he sent it yadda, yadda being very belligerent & harassing me via texts constantly. My question is what can I do to speed this process up as 2,500$ in limbo with the holidays looming is a bit of a hit.
Should I open the package, file a police report etc. this is new territory for me so any input is appreciated.
Thanks
