That they did not receive the item, or the box came empty. Even if you have signature conformation tracking, Ebay gives the money back to the buyer. Does seller protection come in then and both parties get there money?

lol "seller protection". I've had buyers tell me they didn't get the item, even though the tracking number shows it arrived. It's best to insure every package that is worth your money. e b and a z will side with the buyer, at least in my experience.

Seller protection is just words to give new sellers a false sense of security when selling an item
Never rely on eBay/ paypal for insurance on your item
If it's something that is valuable than seek proper insurance outside of eBay
Very true. If you have an old established account with good feedback DSRs etc. eBay will probably side in your favor. If you have a newer unestablished account. You are at the mercy. By established account I mean at-least 500 selling feedback. Preferably 1000.
