Default IP Address Change

I changed my IP address on the command prompt. Also I changed it on google when you search whats my ip. When I go to whatismyipaddress.com it says the same ip as before and it never changed. Should I be fine or do anyone know how to change it on that website?

It is the same on IPBurger as it is on whatismyipaddress. I found a way to change it on there but I would have to use another states IP is that a good idea or no?

just turn off your modem and trun it back on again you will get a new ip.

1. log your ip

2 turn it off then on and see if you get a new.
when you turn if off wait about 10 sec then turn it back on.

lol i broke my old modem from tuning it on and off lol

Its not always true that turning off a router and turning it on will generate a new IP.

Static IPs and stick Dynamic IPs will not change with this method

you will be fine with a new IP from your own internet i would not go and get one from a free website they might be blacklisted . when i make a new acc. i allways log all my ips. i turn my off then on i get a new ip and that all she wrote and i am all done.

That sort of VPN is not going to be any good. It will have been abused.

Free VPN services, Free IP changing Programs, etc are all worthless. If you have repeated the same IP in a short period of time then it can be a possible problem. It's best you find a sure method for changing your IP or get a service that isn't "free".

With a Static IP you can sometimes change the MAC address in the router and get a new IP.

Failing that its worth talking to your ISP to see if you can swap to a dynamic IP

What you are describing is your connecting to your home Internet via Wifi....If your IP is static then no matter what you do you won't be able to change the IP address....So are you sure it's static or dynamic?

What do you know about Hotspots?

Its static I manually changed it. Ill call and ask if they can change it to dynamic tomorrow. If I connect my laptop to the modem with a Ethernet cable would I then receive a new ip address once I turned it off then back on?

Maybe or maybe not....that's the problem with Static IP. Calling your Internet Provider and asking to be changed from Static to Dynamic can cause them to ask too many questions.
