Default Buyer just bought from 2 stealths!??

I just sold 2 sweaters and they're from the same buyer?

Two different accounts, completely different layout BUT the pictures do look somewhat similar.

Clothing is a VERY flooded market meaning its nearly impossible for a buyer to do this?

When I say flooded ...theres thousands upon thousands of listings just under sweater so how could this be?

What should I think? They're the same size so its not like he bought a small and large. Its a international purchase too. One brand is VERY popular and the other has about 100 listings (which is very few for clothing) under it. The chances of this happening are slim to impossible..

This is under my two strongest clothing accounts so I am a tad bit concerned.

Luckily everything is different, even my shipping costs so I'm covered in all corners except the pictures do look similar. The only reason I get away with this IN CLOTHING is because the market so huge its like I said nearly impossible to match two pictures together and create a link, theres just tooo many listings.

Any thoughts??

Yep Australia.

One is $20, the other $25.

Its just the brands aren't similar at all. I could see if it was a brand name that would populate in search off eBays recommendation but one is a VERY well known brand and the other is a VERY unknown brand name.

That wont be a problem i guess.

When purchased, ebay shows similar items, so the buyer should've seen it and purchased.

No need to worry

It must be something to do with how those items are shown on ebay aus.

I would not worry about it, even though its very strange.

Dude just likes his sweaters!

Similar ...but there are 1,000's of other sweaters...for it to show my other sweater is a bit odd. I guess its good it shows my other listings then?

I'll package differently ..I'm just happy the layouts, sipping costs, EVERYTHING is ALL different but pictures.

I used to keep same layouts for all my clothing accounts. Glad I took the time to create and perfect different ones. Not to say the buyer would do anything even if they were the same...

I never thought about it that way. I guess I wouldn't know to be honest...never bought clothing off eBay and wouldn't know AU eBay.

Haha yep.

Solefoodbk,
Just out of curiosity, where both of these sweaters mostly cotton, and light colors such as white or beige? Im no expert in clothing by any means, but have been to Aus this time of year. I've been told many sheep farmers prefer these

if the title of those two listings are even 5% closer, ebay shows up in similar items. so no issues and just like (just_smile) said, dude must be obsessed with your sweaters

they are not my other listings, they are my relative (cousin) who also sells similar items! and we both are from same country, hence if a buyer buys from (say from an Indian seller) ebay shows similar items from the same country's sellers, whose title has at least 5% similarities and listed in same category

Watch me wake up to a MC999 ...sweet dreams I'll have.

Not to mention I'm going to sleep at 5:00 am. haha

I'm sure everything is fine...Its a good thing eBay is promoting my listings I guess.

Naturally it had me worried though, I'm sure it would catch anybody off guard. Especially when its in a very over saturated market.

People normally dont mess with the sort by function when searching...thats why it is important to be on best match. Your sweater may have been on best match or it may have been a suggested item that came up on the bottom or side of the page. I dont see anything foul with these transactions.

Was the quantity listed as 1? Because I have made many purchases where I needed multiples of an item and I bought from several different sellers.

This could also just be a complete coincidence.

You said these were international.

I'd be willing to bet the # of sellers offering the exact ones YOU sold who are willing to ship internationally, are few and far between.

Most likely you were the only or best option he had available.

Just to add a little more...

This is truly a testament to how bizarre eBay's visibility is.

I had a different buyer from Australia, 2 hours before these sweaters were sold buy a fleece jacket.

Now it seems way more than a coincidence I had 3 sales from Australia in the same day. My inventory for clothing is around 400, and I range about 2-3 international sales per week, thats it. For it to be the same country, AND same day, makes me think for whatever reason my listings on ebay.au must have been showing near the top if not the first listing they see.

Because two of these brands are very popular brands. In other words the market is VERY saturated. I'm talking around 5,000-7,000 listings with the same criteria.

Very strange ...

They are my two best clothing accounts, I gotta imagine that plays a factor in the visibility. One is TSR the other isn't but both have 100% feedback, all 5 dsr's...perfect accounts.

But hey I'm not complaining...

Yep I agree. I suppose when I say the market is very saturated I'm looking at it from my perspective not from ebay.au

There you go. Like I said, odds are, very few people who offer THAT particular item, in THAT size, who offer INTERNATIONAL shipping.

Of those that do, you have to consider:

Feedback, search rank, shipping cost, shipping METHOD (how fast does eBay estimate buyer will receive item?) etc.

I'd bet you're one of the best options when all of those factors are considered.

I just got another international sale.

haha...

Ebay must be ranking my listings VERY high because I never get these many sales internationally.

Your right GHOST,

LMAO...you would have that thread as your quote hahaha.

Not to many members here like that thread I'm sure. Defiantly not a popular subject here.
