Silly buyer blames for item NOT WORKING

Hi anyone

Have a problem really :)

Listed lcd display, title says in caps lock NOT WORKING
Item condition - For parts or not working
Advert body contents

Item has broken touch panel or broken LCD or booth
It will never work
It also been sold at a low price comparing to good ones

Buyer received his order and opened a dispute against me saying item is not working, he expected to get good functioning part... How do you think guys do I have chance to win this dispute or I have accept a return?

Ebay will side with the buyer I'm afraid and you will be forced to accept a return on this

Re: Silly buyer blames for item NOT WORKING

No real person is reviewing the decisions so its very impartial, you will have to accept a return and possibly negative feedback if the clown buyer is a tool

Good luck OP. I've read tons of threads about sellers trying to move "PARTS OR NOT WORKING" products, and getting burned. Tread carefully. If I were you, I would just send the guy a return shipping label.

I think it's the mobile app that is causing most of these problems. The app only shows about 10% of your listing, so buyers miss A TON of information about what you're selling.

Everyone is wrong. Sure, you would have to do the return. Ebay is 14 days money back guarantee.. But if the buyer is saying the reason is for it not working, and you STATED it's not working, then you will not get punished for it. THO, you might have to push ebay in the matter, if a real human doesn't review it.

I guess they will side with the buyer, as they don't give a ***** about seller's problems. Then you will need to call in and appeal. I almost always do that, as there is an army of scammers creating tons of accs to get items for free.

Escalating was a mistake. The bot will decide in favor of the buyer, give him his money back, and let him keep the item.

You now will lose your money and your item.

Even if you call and appeal, they'll never give you your money back, and they won't even bother to try and recover the monitor.

Next time just send a return label and cut your losses.

I dont know that he will get to keep the item. Usually the only situation an item is allowed to stay with the buyer after a refund is given is if the item is proven a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ - which is not the case here.
I agree though - escalating the claim was probably not the way to go and can only serve to aggravate a stupid buyer to the point where he could leave you a nasty feedback.

Um.....

I wouldn't normally say this but you should be 100% safe. I would call to be on the safe side but if you listed it for "parts or not working" and you said it in the title regardless of what they say your covered.

You can't dispute something if its listed correctly. In noway are you deceiving if you had it as "for parts/not working".

Even if they leave a negative once you win the case the negative automatically gets removed. Give them a call and you'll get it sided in your favor in no time.

Re: Silly buyer blames for item NOT WORKING

Actually they will not do anything with the negative response as I had a similar incident when a buyer said I failed to report of additional taxes although It was written in my listing!
They called it the buyer`s experience...
But I guess the guy is right about the case thing

Is it the principle? Or do you really need this damaged item to sell it again?

?

This isn't a complicated "issue".

The buyer bought a item "for parts/not working" and now is complaining its not working!

Ebay buyers never fail to amaze me.

I had a similar issue with one of my banned accounts several years ago. Guy received the item sold as NON-WORKING PARTS ONLY. He opened case: Item not working. (DUH) I called eBay and the rep told ME to go ahead and escalate the case myself and SHE would make sure it went in my favor. I was elated! Like a dumb butt I went ahead and escalated it. Guess what... Customer's Favor. When I called back a different rep I believe was on the verge of laughing at me. So I went ahead and issued the refund. This was before closed cases staked against you like a years worth of newspapers.

Re: Silly buyer blames for item NOT WORKING

If you had 'for parts, not working' in the title and in the item specifics then you should win the case. This could be one where eBay refunds the buyer and you keep the money.

Nothing is guaranteed with eBay though. The bots may well rule in the buyers favour. However You should win an appeal
