new postage requirements

I lost a TSR status today due to late deliveries and i have 2 more accounts close to going.

I send all my goods via first class stamp. This usually results in a delivery either next day or the day after. All goods bought up until 11am are sent that same day.

Even first class recorded in the UK is not guaranteed next day delivery. The only way is to go with guaranteed next day delivery which is super expensive.

The margins on my items make a first class stamp the only way.

My question is how did you guys handle the changes to the shipping requirements and ratings?

If i push my delivery time pledge back a few days i imagine i will lose potential customers.

I manage expectations (buyers really expect tooooooo much these days) by stating economy delivery but using 1st class post, this way my "late delivery rate" is always floating around 1.3% out of 2000 transactions or so but I think you are right, if I had Standard Delivery I may get more customers so its a business decision.
