Default Should I trust this buyer?

I am sure it is nothing to be concerned about....but I had a buyer purchase a couple accessories..one of which he stated is defective and broke so he sent me the pic and I apologized and sent him one for free.
He then emailed me and stated thank you for making this right I appreciate it and I trust you so I am going to purchase from you again.

I dont know why but my suspicious radar is really going off.

Sounds OK to me

If you don't want to sell to them though just block him/her

I dont see why you should suspect a thing.

If it broke, and he even sent a pic to prove it, then thats fine.

If he claimed it was broke and wasn't complying with requests for proof, thats a whole different story.

Yea..i don't know I am just paranoid and think if he is going to be purchasing from me again maybe he's just looking to do the same exact thing again

Only time will tell for sure Retailer77 but you're overthinking it for the moment - seems like you did a good customer service move and buyer appreciates it.

I doubt he will do it again with 'you', that would raise eyebrows, and am sure he knows it.

End of the day its accessories you said you sold, don't get bogged down about it, seriously, when you start scaling up on sales, sending out replacements for situations like these will become common ground. Get used to taking it on the chin and implementing such losses into your price mark ups.

He sold accessories. Value accessories are prone to breaking. I would assume they were very cheap to buy.

Not a bad defective rate - seems like your supplier is on point then.

do USA people know what simples is? do they have the meerkat there??

do you think it is competition? because otherwise, if they sent a pic, it probably is a genuine breakage. (dem buttpl*gs break real easy)

If it legitimately broke and he sent pictures and thanked you for a replacement, I wouldn't worry about it. I have had similar instances where items got damaged during shipping or whatnot and MOST of the time, the buyer contacts me ahead of time before opening a case. I just send partial or full refunds depending on the dollar amount. If they don't send pictures (which hasn't happened), then that would be a different story.

I would check his feedback, even positive feedback... Sometimes I have found some interesting revealing information on positive feedback.. Also, is he a seller too? I tend to trust sellers more, because if they scam me then I can destroy them. I think many know not to scam with a seller account.

Also, how much feedback does he have? How long has he been a ebay member? What kind of purchases does he regularly make? If he buys the same products over and over I would worry.

Take into account all these details and make a educated decision.
