Activity: 0% Longevity: 79% | | My last bit of feedback, how ironic
Ever since I started selling I have done everything I could to make sure I had positive feedback, I mean if you sell enough items your bound to have a problem sooner or later.
I mean if someone told me the item arrived broken or didnt work I never asked a ton of proof or anything, I often quickly refunded the money and told them to keep the item as I was working from home and honestly didnt want to sit around waiting to sign for deliverys.
I mean I am a pretty humble person and as long as I am making a living I can lose a few bucks here and their.
So today I log into my account that is limited by paypal for 180 days with my 73 feedback %100 poisitive just to make sure all business is done with it and have an email from a guy.
"That item you sold me gave me two different readings back to back and I am not happy with it I thought it would be better so what are you going to do to avoid this bad feedback I am going to give." Keep in mind this item cost 11.99 and I paid to ship...........and probably user error. It obvisouly works just not to his expectation or whatever. Normally I would tell him to send it back and he pays shipping and I will refund him his money BUT
I have not answered and probably wont because I am not also suspended by ebay with no complaints but until paypal is cleared I can not sell, I so would like to say "well friend, you can thank paypal and ebay for me not really giving a rats azz about your feedback as it obvisouly means nothing in the end, their is nothing I can do to your inability to properly calibrate the item so go ahead and leave whatever you want cause at this point I could care less."
Anyway I have no real point other then ranting and sharing a story and seeing if any of you have dealt with this kind of thing............I mean I am done with the account, he was not ripped off he didnt calibrate the item I know whats going on and as far as I know threatening bad feedback in this situation is against ebays rules anyway, thoughts??

I would recommend that you conduct yourself professionally at all times.
Don't justify eBay and PayPal's actions by lowering yourself.

He turned into a stalker :> But anyhow I am sorry this is happening to you, and especially over such a small amount of money.
I am sorry to hear this and yes, you are correct. It is in violation of Ebay's Policy, here it is from their pages. They also recently sent out updates to their user agreements which included this FEEDBACK EXTORTION
Policy overview
Buyers:
The buyer isn't allowed to threaten to use Feedback or detailed seller ratings in an attempt to force a seller into providing:
*
Goods or services that weren't included in the original item's description or purchase price
*
A refund
*
A return
You could reply with something like this....Use it all or spit out the bones , or spit the whole thing out lol
Dear "insert name"
Wow just wow. With all due respect, which isn't much at this moment, you need to step back. You are WAY OUT OF LINE threatening me in this manner.
Feedback Extortion is a violation of Ebay policy. Yes, Ebay labeled it "Feedback Extortion".
Buyers cannot threaten to leave bad feedback in an attempt to get a refund. Both Ebay Buyer and Seller accounts are banned for violating Ebays policies. I encourage you to abide by your User Agreement which again, you are currently in violation of. I forgive you for your threats and will certainly pray for you AND I will also generously waive my right to report you but to create an opportunity for you to further threaten me, well that would clearly be unwise.
Since you afforded me no other option I regret to state there will be no further communications between us. You need to honor you Ebay User Agreement and to address this matter further, take it to Ebay. Please be truthful to explain the reasons why you are now in this position.
I wish you luck and better days to come.

Jeff,
I agree with you no doubt. As I said I have not answered him yet and like I said what I would like to say and what I will actually do are two different things.
I do agree with you in the thought of not letting what ebay and paypal are doing to cause me to lower my standards as a person though, thanks for the input.

I would've just told him to kiss my ass and let the account die. I would even send him a "thank you" gift. I hate buyers like that. | |

There's no guarantee they will apply such rules. Further, because of the state your account is (unfairly/unjustly) in, this buyer will quite possibly score the brownie points. Paypal limited etc etc, is not going to give you a good image. Buyer might well win.
If the account could be salvaged, by all means defend your position: IF you consider it justified.
I know it was a rant. ebay are nothing but mean

Thanks for the input all, to be honest I have not always been a good boy and when suspended from school I was not allowed to show up to since I am suspended from ebay I have not shown up to even adderress the situation.
I have decided I am no longer letting ebay/paypal stress my life and play judge, jury, exacutioner with me or make me guilty until proven innocent. They took my money and put a hold on it for 180 days which does me no good with my current mortgage, car payment, credit card payments, etc, etc and to be honest I am not rich by any means.
As I as building my paypal account I was depleting my cash and meager savings on everyday spending. I have had to sell one of my cars just to make my bills this month and that still leaves me moneyless and minus one paid off car. Well not really with the money left over I bought a used caddillac today so I am moneyless with alot less of a paid off car!!!
Anyway to be honest since ebay and paypal wanna go by their rules I have decided I am not even logging in the account anymore and they can do what they wish with any customer complaints, I am not stressing myself out with the constant reminder when I log in that I am suspended even though I have done everything in my power to keep everyone of my buyers happy. Now they can have that task. I was selling on ebay to make some extra cash and it ended up costing me everything.........ahhh well life goes on!!

I for one understand where you are coming from.
As you say, it's better not to stress. Apply my motto. Get even and beat ebay/paypal
Good Luck
