Less and Less buyers leaving feedback

Is it just me or over the last 12 months are less and less buyers leaving feedback.

Im finding it difficult to get my feedback up on a Stealth account dur to hardly any buyers leaving feedback even tho ive sent the items tracked so i know for a fact they have been delivered.

Does anyone have any tips to get buyers to leave feedback without pushing them to far?

Thanks all

Bunneh 03-07-2012 04:17 AM

Do you rate the buyer when he pays or only after the item is delivered and he rates you first?

most buyers usually only will rate if they have been rated first, which i admit is the correct way to do it since you are rating them on fast payment, and they are rating you on overall experience.:juggle:

Our numbers have not dropped too much. (Do a fair amount of brown-nosing ;)) We have return buyers so that helps :D

Within the above thread there are links to two older threads.

Heaps of workable hints.

@Bunneh - I rate my buyers as soon as i recieve cleared payment just to keep them sweet but i dont seem to be getting the same in return. I maybe missing something.

@Greenbean - thanks for the link i will certainly check it out. I was thinking about doing a bum licking Email template and sending it to all my buyers.

Heh! I have a post somewhere with one of our older grovels. Might turn up in that link.;)

Never used a template per se. More a sort of business card. Crossed over to the personal touch :)

Nice links. Always good to include a thank you note or some low end thing.

I have noticed a decline in buyers leaving positive feedback. I usually leave good feedback after payment is made and do some brown-nosing but only about 1/2 or a little more actually leave feedback. Didn't the star dinger cartoon say it's better not to have any feedback than negative feedback?

Good tip is to print a small paper that says: "Be Good and Leave a 5 Star. If you have any problems then contact us before leaving feedback"

I see it used by many Chinese sellers.

Remember it is psychology: A person who sees a small gift or message that they did not expect gives positive feedback. It tells the person you care and see them as a person rather than a sell.

prosto_prelest 08-03-2012 11:29 AM

noticed a decline as well. out of 20 sales i get 3-4 feedbacks....

animalkaiserevo 08-07-2012 02:55 AM

which is more important ?

having more feedback or feedbacks with good DSRs ?

assuming your feedback DSR is already 5/5 , and if you have new feedbacks coming in which are less than 5 , wouldnt that lower the overall DSR ?

rsot 08-07-2012 12:02 PM

Which is more important? BOTH - but aim for higher DSRs from your positive feedbacks.

Ebayorbust 08-07-2012 01:05 PM

Both if its a new account.

On my established accounts (over 6 months), I really only care about DSRs and whether I get a neg or neutral. I dont chase feedback from buyers.

Yea, over the years my average for feedback has always been about 60% to 66% of people who leave feedback. I am kinda a feedback snob I look through almost all my buyers feedback. If I see they leave feedback for all their sellers I usually just leave it right away if it is somebody who never leaves feedback I wait until they do or I leave feedback a month afterwards.

prosto_prelest 08-10-2012 03:49 AM

i almost never leave feedback first

diamonda 08-12-2012 01:48 PM

^^ me neither, but now i do it to sort of prompt people to leave it for me, to raise my fb score and hopefully then selling limits :)

Cashew 08-14-2012 12:18 AM

i get about 30% of the buyers leaving feedback.

i usually leave feedback when i have about 30 to do.

I do notice a few quick feedbacks after i leave them a feedback.

Ya think its bad on e bay....i sell on blujay also and i get about one feedback in about 80 sales...
The good thing about blujay is you don't have to have a blujay account to buy anything. You do have to have an account to leave feedback tho.

Ecrater is terrible with feedbacks also.

slim jim 08-14-2012 12:27 AM

ebay mantra...no feedback is better than negative feedback

tryingtofigurethisout 08-22-2012 12:55 PM

I hear you. I only get feedback on about 35-40% of my sales. Way better than amazon though - amazon is like 1% of your sales get feedback.
