i have learnt from my previous mistake.. and got suspended.. paid via ebay system and not paypal within hours i was suspended..

When paying the fees using this method, does it matter if the card is in my real name and address?

thelizardking 02-21-2008 01:21 PM

Surfer-Yes it matters if that info is blacklisted, buy a giftcard and register it to the same address, name, and zip on your account.

powerbid 02-21-2008 04:20 PM

lizardking it doesnt matter atall i have been doing this technique i.e paying one time fees using my own credit card with real info via paypal.. but yes if your paypal account was suspended or limited than paypal will nail you otherwise it would be ok

thelizardking 02-21-2008 07:34 PM

Hmm. I had an account limited (In Sept 07) and the only thing I could think of was I used a card with the same info as a limited/suspended account (different card number) to pay fees with one time payment.

k1ley4evr 02-29-2008 10:41 PM

at first it didnt, when i tried again a few days later it worked.

koalawash 03-01-2008 02:03 AM

I think it's Vanilla Visa that doesn't work anymore. Recent posts suggest that gift2go is still okay to use.

becca073 03-02-2008 03:59 PM

I used a vanilla visa to pay my fees back in Jan. So you guys are saying now it no longer works?

Killed by Ebay 03-03-2008 11:19 PM

I use both and paid my fees 2 weeks ago with both a vanilla and gift2go card

koalawash 03-04-2008 01:03 AM

It works for both eBay and Paypal.

k1ley4evr 03-04-2008 01:10 AM

Do the simon gift cards still work for setting up a sellers account? I did one about a month ago and it worked. Just checking before I purchase.

koalawash 03-07-2008 02:23 PM

They still work as far as we know. Always have.

bbcoach 03-07-2008 02:59 PM

They work, but my experience has been after they are registered to your "name" on ebay/pp you signed on with, it takes up to 2 hours for EB/PP to accept them, this happened to me last night, I bought one at 9:00 and could not add it to the accounts until 11:00.

GreenBean 03-07-2008 04:01 PM

From time to time it seems that there are some problems with the different
gift card companies' server etc and you are not able to add the info to ebay/paypal. Usually it is just a matter of waiting.

Paying eBay Fees

I want to pay my eBay fee's but my accounts are all under ⊗⊗⊗⊗ information. I used to buy Virtual Credit Cards (VCC) from a guy who charges me 5% of total amount. But currently his paypal got banned, so can anyone hook me up? Need it urgently.

Killed by Ebay 03-08-2008 03:24 PM

I am with this guy, I need a much easier way to pay my ebay fees instead of buying a bunch of gift cards and paying it off one at a time. Can i open an ING account and have it linked to my ebay to withdraw funds for the fees? is that a good idea?

Only problem i have is i use 2 different ebay accounts and use them both regularly so 1 solution for both would be great but i understand probably not possible

thelizardking 03-08-2008 04:54 PM

Do one time payment with your Paypal funds.

twdell 03-08-2008 04:58 PM

why don't you guys just open checking accounts and get the debit card that comes with them? use that to pay the fees.

thelizardking 03-08-2008 05:07 PM

Theses many ways to do this definately, just don't make the mistake of setting up "automatic payments"

Killed by Ebay 03-08-2008 05:12 PM

So open 2 different ING accounts? because i need something for both of my accounts and wont be able to use 1 debit card on both without lining

thelizardking 03-08-2008 05:31 PM

You will only be able to get 1 checking and 1 card. If you can pass the credit check.

Killed by Ebay 03-08-2008 05:34 PM

You need to pass a credit check to qualify for an account with them? I dont have very good credit so thats probably aint gonna happen

Any alternatives to pay fees easily?

Throb-n-Rod 03-08-2008 06:52 PM

Dont even need to pass a credit check if you bank with wichovia

thelizardking 03-08-2008 08:31 PM

You can still get a savings with bad credit

Killed by Ebay 03-08-2008 08:55 PM

I cant do paypal because i was limited last year, i buy gift cards now to pay off the fee's buy i am buying like 4 or 5 cards and paying it with one card at a time, its a hassle and costs me an extra 7 bucks per card

thelizardking 03-08-2008 09:41 PM

No card w/ savings for ING. Yeah its a hassle so if you can get a bank card you can have less hassle. Simon cards are only $2 fee. Are you using an old ebay account that doesn't accept paypal?

f1br3opt1c 03-08-2008 10:12 PM

I cant use paypal, ebay dont allow Malaysian to pay with paypal. My name has been banned on previous account, can i still use my card to pay? Will billing and account link together?

thelizardking 03-08-2008 10:15 PM

Ive read you can use any card eventhough its been banned. When you goto ebay goto one time payments, then click Paypal...don't actually log in then on the left you can enter a CC number...can anyone verify this? Using a "banned" card number to pay fees w/ Paypal?

Killed by Ebay 03-08-2008 10:23 PM

How can i use paypal to pay my fees?

Ive been limited, I just verified a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ paypal account with a debit card so i can have access to sell in high risk categories but i dont use it for anything else but that becse of the ss# issue

good or bad idea? to stop paying ebay fees

to stop paying ebay fees, is it a good idea to empty out the gift card and refuse to pay your ebay fees, then when ebay suspends you, open another account and do this all over again? is it better to just pay your ebay fees and keep your account or refuse to pay it and get suspended?

thelizardking 03-08-2008 11:04 PM

Depends on how long you want to keep the account. They will let you get away with non payment for a while.

Killed by Ebay 03-08-2008 11:30 PM

Ya but how do i pay with paypal is what i am asking, i used a gift card from walgreens for that paypal account, it has like 5 bucks on it

thelizardking 03-08-2008 11:40 PM

Your questions are confusing..

Do you want to pay your fees with a Paypal balance? If so just click pay with PP sign into the PP associated with that ebay and it will deduct from your balance.

umaga 03-08-2008 11:59 PM

i dont know, but

but i want to keep it as long as possible, but i would rather avoid paying fees and buy myself a nice pair of pants instead of making ebay richer

Ok i will try explain the whole situation lol i am also confused

This is my paypal situation

No, I dont have a paypal balance, I have a paypal account that has ⊗⊗⊗⊗ infomation that matches my ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info on eBay. I Verified it with a gift card that has 5 bucks on it and linked it to my eBay account so it will allow me to list items on certain categories on ebay. I do not take any payments what so ever because i dont want it to get limited then them asking me for my ss#. So i dont use it for anything at all. Its just there for show for eBay.

My initial question was i wanted a way to pay my fee's easily. What i do now goes like this. If my fee balance is $500 i got to the local walgreens and buy 5 $100 gift cards then i go home and pay off my fees on 5 different transactions. So it costs me an extra 6.95 on each f those cards. aits a little pain in the ass doing it and plus i dont know if ebay would become suspicious of this after a while.

I want a way to pay my fee's off every month from the same source every month. Local stores dont sell $500-$1000 single gift card amounts which would make it easier. So would opening an ING bank account ( i dont have good credit so i guess i cant open a checking so it would have to be a savings) and linking it to my ebay account to take payments every month be a good idea?

The other problem i have is i sell on 2 different accounts actively so i would probably need 2 seperate bank accounts to be able to do this.

So i was looking for any suggestions from people who have been through this. Or have any ideas on how to do it

Hope this clears it up, let me know if it doesnt lol
