Modee, I'm sure people fall for it. Actually before I found this forum, I did fall for it. :)

newebayerwannabe 10-23-2007 08:15 AM

I guess any 1 might fall for that. People just want to get back on to ebay.

How do I explain a chargeback to my CC when I pay Ebay fees?

ebaykilla 10-30-2007 10:21 AM

Tell them services not rendered...eBay did not allow you to collect on sales because they told buyers not to buy. You should get your money back in not time.

How to avoid EBAY fees, also how not to pay them after suspension

It's been about a month and a half now since I started a new account using the guides and advice here. So far so good. No problems whatsoever. I’ve built up a feedback of 34. Not huge I know, but selling on ebay is more of a hobby for me, rather than a business.

So inevetibly I’ve got fees to pay. Ebay invoiced me last week. It’s about £95 (approx $190).

But I’m thinking to myself, should I bother paying these fees? Should I just follow the Modee method, and keep selling without paying my fees, until I eventually get banned. And then just start a new ebay account from scratch?

It’s tempting.

Just wondering that when Ebay ban someone for not paying their fees, is their banning more severe? What I mean is, to they take extra measures to ban EVERYTHING about you, and make sure you never get back on ebay again? Or is it just like a regular banning (whatever a “regular” banning is)

What do you guys think??

cheers

aspkin 11-26-2007 10:27 AM

It's up to you really; if you want to stiff eBay for fees like Modee and other users do, go ahead. I wouldn't mind paying as long as I had an account with eBay, but if they banned me, then hell no I'm not paying.

A ban is a ban, no difference from what I've seen.

imjustme 11-26-2007 12:58 PM

I always pay my fees on the due date, but if they close the account, I don't pay whatever fees are outstanding.

LoveEbayNHateEbay 11-26-2007 03:12 PM

I would pay. But, as of yet, I haven't had my new account suspended. And the fees were paid on my suspended account. I kinda think what goes around, comes around. And right now, I have enough bad luck right now, I don't need to tempt fate.

vers0 11-26-2007 04:18 PM

If the Account was made prior to Nov 20, I would pay the fees and keep the account going as long as you can. Someday, making a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ ebay account will be difficult and you may wish that you still had your old accounts.

Its my opinion that all accounts that are still active may be worth more than people are thinking....

pauluss 11-26-2007 06:18 PM

depends on how bad they have SCREWED you over in the past and what your reliance on ebay is

if you have NOW an established ID selling a RANGE of stuff, anon paypal and verified bank a/c for withdrawls - dont stiff ebay because as it only shoots your profits in the foot after all the work you have done - i am am happy happy happy now i am totally anon - but i wil still pay my fees in full - cos i get £150-£250 per day in sales

if you are 'a hit and run merchant' who does not care two hoots about eBay/PayPals longvigity - take the fookas for every penny/cent you can get and watch them knock on houses that do not exist

its 50/50 the choice is yours

Let's discuss ways of avoiding ebay fees

Now it's pretty obvious when selling something for $2 it's better to raise shipping $1 and sell at 99 cents to avoid insertion fees.

And also I find gallery a waste of money on low priced items.

But I want to here from other people on good ways of avoiding ebay fees for fun and profit.

account suspended due to non payment of seller fees

I had an old bank account registered, and had set up payments to be taken from my credit card. but they still tried my bank, and it bounced back. so now im suspended yay, i have bought my account up to date and was told to write to ebay to have my account reinstated?
anyone know what the chances are of being re instated? 100% feedback, it was a simple error, i had 240 due immediatly which i paid, and 343 due later. SO i paid the 240 and got suspended for not paying the 343. on the system it said 0 dollars was immediatly due. so wierd.
any comments?

ebayhateluv 12-27-2007 05:48 PM

HI- They normally just want the fees paid- then fax in your drivers license + the user agreement signed, then you get reinstated shortly thereafter--- if you can expedite te payment via paypal-- then fax asap-- then try calling your acct mgr if you have one- if not-- try live chat--THIS IS ALL IF you were not suspended for ANY OTHER REASONS>. i.e. Vero, linked to prev suspended etc.. It sounds like just simple matter of paying fees..

super stealth 12-27-2007 05:51 PM

You could pull a disappearing Modee !

lissyclark 12-27-2007 06:40 PM

ahh this sucks! How can i send them those documents when i am not who i say i am lol I ALMOST am who i say i am. middle name and last name instead of first middle and last name

eg) lissy claire marr (not really my name btw for security reasons)
registered as claire marr

any ideas? they have no replied yet

aspkin 12-27-2007 08:24 PM

Exactly what Super Stealth suggest, Modee was king of this.

ebayhateluv 12-28-2007 05:31 AM

HI- If you have a Relative with last name the same, they will accept that util bill- I did one in July, was using my moms address, i faxed her gas bill in- they restored the acct in a few days

lissyclark 12-28-2007 07:25 AM

how do you mean :)
My last name registerd on the account is my actual last name.
I dont want to risk using my parents address though as my mum is a silver powerseller and dont want to risk her from being suspended.
So if i faxed in...say? my brothers utility bill they would accept it even though he is for example james stone and i am lissy stone (not really my name btw) and the bill would state james stone?
how do they verify documents?

Fiev 12-28-2007 12:08 PM

BTW, If you have such accounts which are suspended due to non-payment of seller fees
Or you sold sold sold and there is fees amount due ..and you don't wanna pay them -
I can buy these accs for cheap
(they must be in good standing without complaints with positive feedbacks from buyers).
PM me. All I need is ebayID with password and e-mail with password for this account. And you must not use it in future.

sycore 12-28-2007 03:44 PM

LOL, I have a few account in non-payment. Nowdays, the suspend you for non payment after a few months. Some I owe couple hundred, some thousand.

ebayhateluv 12-28-2007 09:27 PM

I think Fiev wants those accounts for something were NOT doing here...

lissyclark 12-29-2007 02:22 AM

have any of you sent in photo shoped documents? I have done this now and will send them to get my seller limits lifted when the account is back on (i have been informed that it will as soon as payment clears and the debit is actually out of my account which could take up to 25 days!! crazzyyy! this is what 2 different reps told me on live chat im just waiting for trust and safety to confirm this. They said once payment clears the limits will automaticly be lifted
