It should still be possible to register payoneer with real details in a different country though. if you live in the uk and register payoneer in sweden with your real passport it will work as long as you can produce a stealth proof of address

because payoneer will not be checking addresses , the worst thing they can do is asking for your photo holding your passport and a piece of paper with hand written text on it. so a real passport from any country would do...

The subject in question is whether a public sector company (even if its a Bank) can check the association of an ID number with the name.
The address is not important as long as it exists.
On that matter, i’m still certain that no private sector company can do that.
Unless ofcourse a Bank (or a Bank associated with that Bank) has already that persons data on file or that person has a bad credit history in which case it becomes public knowledge (shared between banks and other entities).
So i guess we can put that to rest and don’t cause extra anxiety to people seeking a way out of this situation.

As for the selfie check i never thought that could be a subject for a discussion since that check is done already in iphones, cheap Computer software like ACDSee and so many other.
If that can be done in my phone or with a $39 program, who on Earth would assume big companies worth hundred of millions who’s job is just that would have the means to cross reference 2 photos.
So the photos issue was always there. If you want to overcome it you need another thread.
Come on man, let’s stick to the juice.
You have valid information, please share, otherwise don’t spread misinformation.
We are here to solve a problem not to make it bigger than it is or drag it around for ever.
Let’s help each other, don’t throw unnecessary obstacles.
Thanks

Yes
I can confirm that.
If u have a passport with your photo and can take a selfie with you holding a paper with the date hand written on it they should verify you.
The address seems to not be an issue at least in the beginning. They might though ask for a utility bill or equivalent at some point after photo verification.

Seems good solution for one account. How can create multiple stealth Payo accounts ? I don't think it's a good idea to add one Payo to multiple eBay/MP accounts.

nowdays payoneer are stricter , if your citizenship is different from country of registration they will ask for ID and proof of address and in many cases for selfie immediately. with third world countries they will almost always ask for selfie in such a case

possible but more tricky than paypal

however , payoneer can also be a wicked tool in the hands of some evil people because they do not check the residence address and there are some very very bad people who register payoneer in a different country , receive their bank cards and use them for withdrawal on ATM without paying any taxes at all as the money never goes through their bank and their payoneer address is in some other country where no one knows them

of course I do not recommend anyone to do something like this because it is totally dishonest

Is there a way to pass the selfie ID ? I don't think so.

This just came in --> Bulgaria

Hi, **seller** registered from Bulgaria on eBay.com,

We are pleased to notify you that you can now register to have your payments managed by eBay.

Managing payments is a big step towards making eBay a simpler, more modern managed marketplace, and over 4 million sellers have already registered globally. We will require all sellers to register to have their payments managed by eBay in 2021.

We are adding sellers as the features and tools they use on eBay become compatible with eBay managing payments, and we’re now ready for you.

The first step is to complete registration for eBay to manage your payments by June 18, 2021. Please make sure you register by the deadline so you can continue to create, relist and revise listings, and preserve your live listings.
Let’s get you registered in three simple steps:

1. Verify your information.
2. Provide a bank account. You can use an existing account, or open a new one.
3. Keep selling as usual.

So ... no option for payoneer. eBay gradually turned into my 2nd job throughout the years so my options were either to VAT register or close down. Here the vat registration is pain in the A and I would end spending much more time doing this. So I have decided to abondon ship.

With less than 6k per year you're not obligated to be VAT registered here. What documents they are asking for (ID, bank statement) ? Individual or business account ?

Give it a try and don't give up!

In Bulgaria there isn't a threshold. If you earn 100 BGN , you need to pay tax 10 % [plosak danak] (fixed income rate). If you are selling as a business (same items multiple times) , even if you are not registered, you need to pay 15 % (ednolichen targovets). PM me and I will explain more to you if required.

Ahh yes ... I forgot about that. Just adding on to me getting out of this. The free market trade as we know it will be changed forever. I am expecting in few years this threshold will be removed and one will only be allowed to sell if he is VAT registered.

This means private sellers will be kicked out, as noone wants to get VAT registered just to sell some of his belongings, and dive into reporting to IRS reports, taxes and so and share huge part of the sale with the state. I wonder what percentage of ebay turnover is based on individuals selling personal stuff.

Created new BG Payoneer and there is no EUR currency account. Live chat isn't working for all clients. Contacted customer service via online form twice and still no response. Last option is to call them, will wait a few more days.

@ilcarletto Succeeded reaching them about EUR currency details and converting them to Citybank IBAN. I hope he is reading this thread and he could share the way he did it.

Yes, getting citibank seems golden. As I tried online form - only robot replies there. I tried phone, but no support for new accounts. So should be some other way of reaching them...

Probably a stupid question, but I'm really new to this - what's with these Payoneer accounts and how they reflect on the MP transition?
