Do you need VAT ID in ebay.de when item location China?

Please make it clear for me - i need VAT ID when selling on ebay.de from other countries?

No, you don't need to have it.

Check the sellers on EBAY, and you will find some Chinese sellers (location China) don't add VAT numbers

There is a difference,you can list in your country Ebay and opt to make your listing visible in another country Ebay.
