Default can stock images actually get you banned?

Hi, so ive come across a few threads that explain why using stock images or google images for ebay listings are bad and can trigger mc011, an was wondering if this is actually true?

I see loads of drop shippers and private sellers who use such images but are still selling. Is there a right way to do it, even for used products if you have loads?

Oh yes, they can get you linked.

And it doesn't matter if it's an old or new account.

Play it safe and avoid the use of these kind of images for account health

Many thanks for the replies. Im no expert with images so exif data is a harm? Is there anyway to remove it or prevent such background data?

What if you just use the snipping tool on Windows and use that for images? Im assuming that would work

Especially if you have to call into ebay after the first listing, they will ask why you used a stock picture and didn't take a picture yourself

Why don't you just take your own photos? It really doesn't take much time to do so.

Well im dropshipping so im pretty much limited to the stock images - im assuming actually having the item in possession is the way to go. Especially after the ban wave a couple days ago. Is that what you're recommending?
