MC011 - reinstated

Hi all - I’ve been threw it all in terms of restrictions since I’ve started stealth. Both on eBay and PayPal. But most recently on a new account that was about half a year old I got the dreaded MC011. I was moving over $20,000 per month so I thought this may have been to tough to get fixed since it was so much so quickly. It started out for increased item not received cases, but ended up turning into

1) ID request
2) Utility bill
3) Proof of EIN, Articles of Organization etc
4) Proof of merchandise

And guess what? A week in a half later I got it reinstated. It tests your mental sometimes, even when I’ve been at this since 2014 you still have doubts. But I’ve never lost an account since 2017 after I understood there is NO limitation that can’t be overturned. It’s a simple fact, they can reverse any limitation, you just must comply with what they ask and know what you are doing. But for those who are new to this, don’t listen to the naysayers that it can’t be done. Because I see a lot of it on here when I check from time to time. It can be done. If you believe it can, it will be so.

Congratulations on getting your account reinstated I need to provide proof of invoice and proof of identity to have a chance of my account being reinstated.

Would you recommend me going to John Lewis big retailer around buy 15 products from them cost around £1300 send invoice to eBay? And then send my drivers license do you think my account has a chance in being reinstated.

That's a big retailer - it can't hurt your chances - as for your DL...matching stealth details on the account?

Yes that’s what Ive done I brought 10 items for just over £900 and screen shotted the invoice and sent the invoice to eBay.

I also explained why I should be able to sell on eBay. The drivers license is my actual driving license as this account is not a stealth accounts it’s actually my legit account. What do you think of the chances I’ve got to get my account restored?

My best recommendation is contact merchant support. This is by far the only winning strategy I know of. They can remove any restriction on an account besides past due invoices for fees. I'm not sure what the merchant number is for UK but that drastically increases your chances. Normal support just doesn't have the same capabilities merchant support does. Yes it goes to Trust & Safety but at least in USA when you contact merchant support they have offices right next to them. Naturally if you are good at verbal communication you can get them to put in a good word for you.

Also, I would always give as many receipts as you can possibly provide. For example lets say you have 500 items listed I would give them 100 receipts. Does it take time? Yes it does. But if you make enough money on the account to make it worth it, do that. The more receipts = more credibility. Its all psychological. Remember it is a human that is reviewing this, think like they would.

If your items you sell are legit and you have the receipts then it is pretty easy. Everything besides the receipts you can be creative with to get past the suspension.

But how is it possible to expose 100 receipts for example. If ebay gives 8 files or add. Two go to documents and 1 to a payment order. There are 7 remaining, that is, you can take 20 receipts for 1 photo?

but need to speak with someone who reinstated mc011 as I did recently

I need advice how to act post reinstatement

and have it ever happened to you 2 times on same account?

The only advice there is to give is to tread carefully. Don't go selling a crazy amount since your account is clearly on shaky ground. Build your way back up and avoid whatever you did to get MC011'd twice.


I'm surprised it's even possible to get accounts back. Congrats.
