MC011 indefinite restriction on MP with funds stuck

Hello! I had the account since 2014 with my real info, Started dropshipping from amazon in 2018, it was good until ebay started flagging account for retail arbitrage, I kept dropshipping on that account with not much profit until we were forced to use Managed payments linked to Payoneer. at that point, My total sales cannot exceed the amount of money I had in my payoneer account.

I started selling digital goods, ebay held my money for 5 days after 9 days of selling due to a spike in sales, 2 days after that, some of the digital listings got removed for violating "Electronically delivered items policy" no vero violation though.

I ended the remaining listings and the next day I got MC011 restriction asking for invoices, I only sent them invoices for the physicals products I've sold with a comment that I can't provide invoices for the remaining ones since I've bought them on forums and social media from people that don't need them anymore. after 3 days I received an email that my selling privileges are indefinitely restricted.

I know I had it coming, no need to comment on that, I have more than 1k stuck on that account displaying a warning message "Your payouts are currently on hold because your eBay account is restricted. You'll start getting paid again when your account is reinstated."

I know that paypal will pay you after 180 days, since this is MP, I'm not sure if I will ever get them back, I've heard on the forum that some sellers got their money after about 60 days but none of them has been selling digital goods which ebay doesn't like.

Virtual items usually lead to this. Money will be paid out in 60 days.

Thank you very much, I appreciate your answer, so even if I violated their policy and got an indefinite restriction on selling, They can't take my money and I will receive it.

They seize funds only if they are unable to verify identity.

Yeah I would never sell digital goods. Drop shipping is fine but when it comes to digital good it’s akin to selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ from eBay’s perspective. They view it as high risk and almost illegal because usually people sell bootleg software such as CD KEYS for Microsoft apps etc …. I run dozens of eBay drop shipping accounts and no issues.

Of course, if you're making money from that account, no need to sell digital goods, I was not making much money, it was actually retail arbitrage, very low margins and no instant payments! I just needed money and other sellers were selling software keys and making money and get suspended afterwards of course, I thought why the hell not try that, I'm not even making money, the account is flagged due to retail arbitrage, search rank is lower... I expected to get restricted, thankfully no vero strike. I just didn't expect the funds to get stuck and not know whether I would ever receive them.

Pretty sure digital goods are the highest risk items you could sell.

It's most likely 60 days yes. Possibly 30.

If you're suspended (no longer a registered user) it should be 60 days.
If you're just restricted but not suspended, a rep told me 30 days.

This is good news, it hasn't been a month yet. I was restricted indefinitely from selling only, I still have the account and reply to customers, resolve their requests whenever they encounter an issue. I did receive a couple of refund requests however, I refunded them but the metrics are still good, I'm just not sure if that might delay the payout furher.

Thanks for the update! I am dealing with the same issue as you, awaiting an MC011 response. They got my other account yesterday and are holding funds for 5 days message.

Keep us updated mate. I am selling digital goods too, never entered tracking information for all of my ... probably 7,500 sales combined on two accounts.

I don't think the account would last more than 24hrs with MS stuff or adobe, I used to sell software that was not on eBay's Vero list.

Did you get an email from eBay saying the funds has been sent to your bank account?
