MC999-Selling account Limited

I got an email this morning on one of my stealth accounts saying I am linked to another account. The account they listed I have no relation to, but its says were have similar account info so we must be the same person.

The weird thing is, they didn't suspend, but just limit the amount I can sell every month.

I haven't have a problem with a linked account, since I got the Stealth Book, so I can only think that it was someone deliberately trying to link our accounts.

Should I bother contacting eBay to let them know I don't know that account, or will they just say they hear that from everyone?

Yay, ebay issues, haven't had to deal with these in a while!

If they are limiting the amount you can sell I would think it's a 'sh*t or bust' scenario. Would love to hear how you get on

Yeh, I know back in the day this account would be donezo, so I was surprised it said I was just limited in the amount I could sell.

Later today I am going to investigate the account I as linked too. I did login to this one account from a local library, so that would possibly be the problem.

Yeh, I know, but I as out and wanted to check in on the account. I Barely use it, so I am not worried. I just more surprised they would say I was linked(to some random account), yet only limit me.

I would not waste time with them when you have the power to do much more damage with new unlinked accounts

Yeh I was gonna throw it on the back burner, since it got a unwarranted neg.

Can anyone comment on them just limiting the amount of sales, instead of a suspension or complete limitation?

yep, one of my accounts is limited. So i replied back to them and they said that there was evidence that it was being used by a previously suspended user (me !!).

They said that if I did not know whom this person was, then I should ask family and/or friends if they know this person and if they have let him use my account to sell things.

I replied saying no such person exists as far as I was concerned, but have not heard back from them since. But my account is still active, but I can't sell anything...

So technically if they have limited your sales, they have also probably limited the other persons sales. Unless the other eBay account already had limits and they matched yours to theirs.

Maybe not that realistic but you never know...

One of my account is past due. Then another account received this email. Will they do further limit?
