Activity: 0% Longevity: 75% | | Using stealth account to BUY from normal account
Ok so I have an account that is verified with my name, my address, etc. I have been using this account for 2 years.
This is also my main account, and I do not have any stealth accounts.
I lost my Top Rated Seller status due to not having enough transactions even though I have well over five figures in sales -_-.
I am 30 transactions shy, and the evaluation is on Jul 20th. I am going to find some random things in my house that I don't want anymore and 24 hour auction them, along with my current products I am selling...
However, could I just create an account, use TOR BROWSER (makes your IP anonymous or something like that), and BUY my own listings??? I would not pay for the items however, just let it que out basically.
Will this red raise flags on my real main seller account? Like would ebay suspend me or anything like that? Could they even catch the trend?

We have given our opinion on the TOR Browser and it's pretty much unanimous..."Don't Use It".
If you use the Tor Browser your account will be banned.
Also your plan is not one I would recommend. Sell your items as normal, no need to buy from yourself or any of that.

if you have to do this, and I agree with MM it is not even necessary, then I would not use a proxy, but just a different user and change ip, preferably different ISP and browser and all details..risky if you do not know what you are doing......

Ok after grabbing all the old random phones I had laying around from my old business, I realized I am only going to have to ⊗⊗⊗⊗ 7-8 transactions worst case scenario.
So safe to create new users, go to campus nearby/library (I've used this campus network before, but so does 80,000 other students), and use one of these old phones I have that I've never used before to bid/buy items? Safe?

Don't use TOR. Doesnt work for stealth.
If you do list ramdom items on a 24 hour auction, just let them sell naturally. No need to buy them from yourself.
You never know who has used the library/campus computers.
Safer option to make new stealths is to create new user accounts on windows, then either change your home IP address, or get a dongle.

| It is your choice to push your main account. Like others have said to acquire another IP, either through dongle, router, tether, etc.
But my suggestion is to pick up the stealth guide and use this forum to help your business out.
You will find, going through the forum, that all eggs in one basket may be devastating at one point or another.
Good Luck

I mean eBay was founded on auctions. It would make no sense for them to give me issues if I let them sell naturally. I have an assortment of items from old text books, boxs of iphones with a heapdhone or other random accessory, some new chargers, calculator, RAM for a computer, sunglasses, a watch, etc...
I can def find enough items and make legit auctions. All of these items I really dont even care what I get for them. Im sick of looking at all this crap, and much rather make $1 on a watch and let someone else enjoy it then just tossing it.

1. TOR browser is bad - many posts have established that.
2. The very fact that you are asking this question indicates that you are not ready for this step - if you are set to do it, experiment and report back.
3. You can buy your own listings via stealth (of course NOT recommended because of so many potentials of linking if you are not careful) BUT it takes a strong understanding and straight record-keeping.

OP
Tell me what you are going to do on 21 July, when your flawed plan fails. When you find out you got suspended for the silly escape plan you thought of making?
I imagine you may cry. That would be after slapping your own face for being silly.
Avoid such behavior.
If you are TRS, you need to adjust your business plan. What is not happening if you are testing the funds but not the numbers.
Take a depth breath right now. Realise you may need to adjust being TRS rated. Get your account in order quickly. Preserve this account wisely |

Not a good move to risk the account by doing this.
If they looked sure they will see a trend of you changing up your type of items to sell and of course not actually shipping items will also raise flags.
Again, if they look at it.
Not worth the risk at all.
You should have been on top of this and actually sold some of these items a week or so ago.

OP: Bad idea, really bad idea.
Don't lose your good account. When it is gone, it is GONE.
