Am I doomed? Accidentally logged in same IP as suspended account!!

Ok, I was selling on ebay for years, got linked to my brothers account when we lived together because he didnt meet the star ratings and they closed me down too. I have been fighting with Ebay for years trying to get disassociated with him but they somehow always catch me....

I just made a terrible mistake.. Please read...

My old ebay ID that got suspended I was using the neighbors WI-FI connection alot and would log in many places... I always used Internet Explorer

So Instead of buying or creating a new Ebay account, I started using my girlfriends account to sell my items, she has had the account since 06 with plenty of feedback, I also am using her paypal account all at a different address and city as mine. Everything has been fine so far...

Well today something bad happened. My DSL went out for some reason and my laptop automatically connected to my neighbors WIFI, which I used to use sometimes to connect to my old suspended account. I signed in using firefox with my GF's ebay account that I am now using...

Is that enough alone to link my old suspended account to hers??? I'm really scared!! I dont want to bring her into this suspended mess!! All the info on the two accounts are completely different, just some of the items are the same as before...

Anyone want to chime in and see if she'll be suspended??

Lol "Am I doomed", no haha relax it's not the end of the world. If her account is not yet suspended and all the information is completely different, I wouldn't worry about it anymore. Wouldn't make that mistake again though.

Usually if an account is linked to a suspended account the active account will get suspended very quickly. If it hasn't happened yet it probably won't happen. I'm assuming the only way it could have been linked was because you used the Wi-Fi connection of your neighbor that you used to use with the suspended account? If that's the case from my knowledge you're pretty clear, I'm also assuming the IP address of the two accounts are different as well.

Ok, thanks so much guys! I hope you're all right! I turned my wireless off for good so I dont have to worry about it doing that again.

Yea, I have been using a new DSL ISP, and new browser with clean cookies when I first took over her account from my house. The issue was my neighbor's WIFI that I used to use when I was using my old suspended account, which still is suspended. But I logged on from the same computer and cookies from firefox that I normally do... thats why I was worried.

something similar happened to me,i was already logged in though,basically i was logged in on a wifi that was clean and i lost the signal and accidentally opened the suspended wifi signal,i freaked out but everything was clean.It might be the fact that i didnt actually login from the banned ip since i never logged out,idk how often they update the ip once your logged in

If your neighbors IP is not static or you havn't used it in a awhile its probably a new IP anyway, so you should be fine

I do not think anything will happen, But at least take it easy for a Month or so, don't use the account, it should be OK
