Dial up internet

Hi

I am overseas and need to set up some stealth accounts from UK IP addresses. My plan is to use dialup internet for this, how do I actually connect to dialup?, I mean I know I dial a certain number, but can that be done through a wifi connection?, or do i have to stick the cable in the phone socket like the old days?.

I would use my internet dongle but international roaming is £6 a MB!!
