Mifi advice - prods/cons

Hey all, been searching over the forum for a while for Mifi advice.

They were all really specific advice so I thought we could maybe have a topic where we can discuss the pros and cons of these?

I am currently thinking about getting one to start with as I just use a dongle and a Mifi would allow me to work in my office as my dongle currently does not get good signal there.

So my first thought was, Mifi allows up to 5 devices to connect. Do each of these 5 devices gain a seperate ip if they were to connect at the same time?

Also, is it best to have two or more Mifi units with seperate devices to gain more ips.

Hope this makes sense and I really appreciate any advice people have to share on these :D

Is this mifi will allow you to change its mac? Otherwise all 5 devices will have the same ip.

the whole idea of a mifi is that when you turn it on and off is that you get a new ip everytime. some has said with 4g service this does not happen. for me so far so good. you should be keeping a log of them regardless. each device you connect to the mifi will get the same ip.

4G/LTE does not exist in UK, so that is irrelevant anyways. Second, anything connected to a MiFi at one time will all have the same IP, just like your router at home.
