anyway to change ip without disconnecting router?

my bro's getting kinda pissed of me changing the ip couple times a day by doing the cmd thing and then resetting the router, he says its messin up the speed when he plays xbox.

so anyway to change the ip without disconnecting the router? thanks

I get this a lot .. "have you turned the bloody internet off again"
so now i have made an agreement with my kids .
Everytime i turn it off i will deduct £5 from there rent .
Took them some time to realise they dont pay any rent..

but there must be a way to just do it on the computer by maybe loggin in the router manager, if not i might consider getting my own internet for eb stuff.

Nothing in the computer will do it.
Its the router that does the business.

Get a dongle or tether the phone - wont need to reset modem all the time

You still have to reset dongle or disconnect the phone to get a new ip.
Anyway, it much faster than a modem

so say if buy a dongle, probably will get the monthly contract one, it gives me an amount of speed and downloads for an alright price. how does that work out, everytime i take out the dongle and put it back in my laptop i get a new ip?

im not so good with networks n stuff

Yes every time you disconnect the dongle and take it out the pc, it will change the IP.

Keep a log of all the IP's you use

now im ready to buy a dongle. i need advice on which one to buy. pay monthly or pay as you go?

i mainly use eb, pp, aspkin forums (ofcourse ), youtube, fb, twitter, etc... i listen to music quite alot on youtube but i never watch movies or download, i download pics when needed, log in to my email sometimes. thats about it

i would also like the one which gives me i.p's like for example: 107.89.200.91, 82.91.029.1, 82.891.19.11, 109.19.290.11. so kinda different like that.

if you could provide me with a good offer that would be great.

Consider you only need a dongle for your eb business, so you can cut down your expense to it. You can use all your other stuffs on current line sharing with your bro.
Dedicate dongle for eb and pp. Just look for a cheapest plan possible.
All IP's have the same format, so you don't need to worry about it.

yes of course you can diconnect and reconnect with the router manager

but it will still disconnect call of duty boy upstairs

what i'm wondering is, can ppl get linked to the same IP through the dongle system? I remember somebody on the forum posted that his dongle service issues out 200 unique IPs (he took track of all of them, writing down all of them), so then can't another completely different user get on the same dongle service and get linked to one of the same IP addresses ? Since the IP is created by the dongle company, not unique to the dongle itself.
