That would make sense, since I'd think what matters is the way the stars were aligned when you were born.

^^^ actually, scratch that. apparently the 2009 thing is just some myth.

According to this it's only the zodiac system they use in the eastern hemisphere that changes. The one they use in the west always stays the same.
