Free USA mobile phone number?

Does anyone know how I can get a free USA mobile phone number? I can get a land line phone number for free - but not cellphone. I tried pinger but the phone number they gave me was "not recognized as a mobile phone number"

have u tried google voice? i'm not sure if it gonna be recognized as a cell though

Well i know a website that has 1100 USA mobile numbers from where you can easily verify your accounts like Gmail, facebook applications and much more.

how you get free land line forwarding?

I use skype online numbers, not free but cheap anyway, but most VOIP does not work as mobile or land line, it's just recognized as VOIP

I would appreciate advice about free land line numbers, thanks a lot
