I am just like you and about the same age. I got kicked out of university 2 times for low grades as I was always distracted but not by money rather by opportunities. Whenever I saw a opportunity to do something that will benefit me even in the long run then I would spend 40 hours on that then 10 hours in school work.

Another thing that was wrong with me just like you was time management. I could never get everything I wanted to do in one day and at the end of the day I would feel lousy that I did not get anything done.

My Advice: Stay in college and do it part-time if you want but make sure each course you take; you put hard work into it. Work on ebay but give you self a time each day like between 2pm to 6pm you work in ebay.

Eb*y has basically made me careless of school. The more i think about it the more i want to pull my hair out. I seriously cannot see myself as being successful in life if i do not make it into this business school that i've always wanted to get into. And so far with my grades i will NOT be getting into it. What makes it hard is that its one of the top business schools in the country. It's really impossible for me to get my sh*t together and do my best in school when i have eb*y.

To be COMPLETELY honest here. I seriously think that if i do not become successful on eb*y i will FAIL at life. No matter how hard i try i cannot do good in school. I'm starting to hate you for making this thread. B/c this is exactly what i think about EVERY SINGLE DAY 24 HOURS A DAY. And now you made me think about it even more. I seriously stress my self to death with this. I think i need this thread more than you........

I used to think the same about being successful on ebay or being a failure. All I want now is my own video game website that I can manage and sell my own games without having to worry about paypal and ebay.

2.] dont be in a rush to get married / have kids

3.] INTERN !!!

also: really do some soul searching & make sure business is a field you could see urself enjoying. most ppl end up working in a completely different field than what they've majored in.

I'm still going to college grinding it out. I'm still gonna go, I mean I'm just lazy its not like I have better things to do. I mean I have NOTHING better to do, might as well man up and go I guess AND still do my ebay business on the side because that takes time to establish since Im so new to it. I still need to complete college.

When i was younger, my mom made my mind up for me, and i was going to school for something i had no interest in.

Had a high school sweet heart help me make bad choices including getting into debt, changing cars every 5 months, wasting money on vacations etc. She left me Age 21.

Dropped out of college. Turned into an alcoholic. Moved far away. Ended up coming back. Started School Again. Started to make a killing on eBay. eBay banned my account, lost everything. Had to stop schooling. Dead ass broke.

My life story. Almost 27 now lol.

you need to go to school and get that as your main income then later deal with ebay. what are you going to do if ebay folds one day. Some businesses have done it over the years with NO prior word about it to the public.

Not worth a gamble between ebay and education. When you leave business school you will think of ebay as a joke and a side job from what your potential will be.

I would go for the degree and not even look at ebay the whole time so you dont get the distraction.

Especially if you are just selling and using it for spending money. The only way to do that for a business and feel like you have something is doing correctly with all the issues that come with a legit business.

Stuff you will learn a lot about in school. Maybe you get out of school and open a huge retail business with your new Tax ID with your LLC or something big and go to town selling the legit way on ebay. That is if you still cant drop the ebay selling bug.

More than likely you will think online auctions are a joke. which you will learn much about in that school. You will see how its looked upon as a hustle more than a business. (not making that up. Exactly how they treat it in business schools at most places.)

Good advice KingRay, I still think lightmaria needs to learn time management. My first quarter was a total disaster until I learned to manage my study time with my life time. Hopefully those in school on the board will eventually get their degrees and move on from selling on ebay to just buying on ebay.
