| | | Sandy D | 08-06-2013 04:37 PM | Wrong message to send to the kids.
It is ok to cheat as long as you let us know and apologize.
Shame on them.
BAN each and every one of them forever period. No questions asked.
Once they accepted the 50 game suspension they just said they were guilty.
Come back and ban them for life.
Now A Rod the doper wants to play while appealing when he admitted to using it.
Are you kidding me? Others took it like a man and moving on but not him.
The jerk believes he is better then anyone else and deserves different treatment then whines during a press conference I am being picked on.
Ban his sorry doping life forever, remove his name from all records as he is a cheater and put out the word.
Act like Arod the doper and you will get this too. |
Should be banned for good - none of this low end suspension - true, what a role model |
| GreenBean | 08-07-2013 06:46 AM | Should no longer be regarded as a role model.
Makes a mockery of attempting to enforce no drug taking.
 |
I find it hilarious how he is trying to shift the blame - classic denial |
| Sandy D | 08-07-2013 10:07 PM | But, but, but I am the youngest CHEATER to ever hit 400, 500 and 600 Home Runs so I am different then all of those other guys.
I hope he gets booed and embarrassed so bad he gives up and goes home to get a crying towel. |
A crying towel with more drugs to pacify his ego :FF: |
| Sandy D | 08-09-2013 12:20 AM | Marketing thought!!!
Maybe I should make some AROD DOPEY terrible towels with pictures of pills etc on them.
They would be a hit.
If I could use photoshop well I would make a prototype. |
And then he sues you for libel...hah - well, good idea but might go stealth with that :p |

I would surely not add his personal name to it and would run it over a lawyer first.
You can easily do it and most people would understand it would be him but not have any legal issues.
Did you really think I would put his picture and name on it????

At the end of the day, I disagree with steroids in all sports but I'm just going to mention the following and play devil's advocate
- steroids or "biogenesis" doesn't help with hand eye coordination to hit a 95mph pitch. Neither does it tell you which pitch to swing or not to swing at.
- they are often used to help recover much faster from injuries. Now the following aren't baseball players but look at how fast Ray Lewis came back from his injury last NFL season. That was supposed to be a season ending injury and he came back quicker than expected & in-time for the playoffs. Also, Kobe Bryant - he apparently shattered the average time to recover from the injury he just had. He MUST have taken or done some type of thing to help. |

Yes athletes can take certain meds to help with healing but steroids aren't the solution |

Thats why Doughboy PED user Bartolo Colon used PEDs that why Griffey blew up his hamstrings was because of PEDs. Sorry its true.
I am one of those I don't know how to accept PEDs or Steriods or HGH. I understand people like to compare records I get that. But when it comes to sports drinking two rockstars before a game will get you more hyped than anything Babe Ruth could got unless he has the "real" Coca-Cola. But seriously the game changes, society changes. I have no clue how to judge someone taking Creatine and Protein Poweder and every other supplement out there or "Deer Antler Spray" lol vs everyone else.
By no means am I saying there should be no rules. I think the bigger aspect is that you can't compare eras. |
Deer Antler spray hah what a reference |

If you made a list of the best player ever by position I am sure many of us would not have anyone current or of the last 10 years or so on our list.
Younger people do not know what they are missing with not seeing players I enjoyed growing up.
Lots dont like Pete Rose but he was almost retired before I got to see him play but my older brothers talk about how he was the ultimate player and did a lot with little skills. Always went 110%.
Now if they have a headache they sit for a game.
What proof is there out that Griffey ever used roids?
This is the first time I have ever heard his name ever mentioned. |
| GreenBean | 08-16-2013 07:51 PM | He rises above the steroid cloud on angel dust?
 |
| vogeltron | 08-17-2013 02:34 AM | His hamstring injuries coincide with someone who would use PEDs for recovery time. Not saying he hit all his HRs in Seattle on steroids. But like Barry Bonds who saw McGwire and Sosa and said I need to get on the same level. At some point in Cincinnati I am quite confident he used steroids. They may have actually ruined his career. As he was injured nearly ever season after he arrived there. |
| Sandy D | 08-17-2013 11:41 AM | He does not show any signs of using it to me.
Stood beside McGwire personally in the late 80 through early 90s and he was a big man, my DH is as big and muscular as McGwire was back then.
Then stood beside him in 1999 at a ball game and his head, forearms, neck, shoulders were extremely larger then we both remember. He used to be equal to my DH and now he was much, much larger. His wrist alone was a dead giveaway this man has changed and no one in their 30s builds muscle to the point of almost doubling in size like he did.
Bonds, look at his head and neck. His head grew, his neck is wider and he had muscles in his arms he really never had before.
Sosa, skinny frail Eric Davis like body when he first came up. We saw him in Florida at Spring Training and he reminded us of Eric Davis. Then all of a sudden large head, neck, chest, arms, forearms.
Griffey ever show any signs of his body changing after going to Cincinnati. |
| vogeltron | 08-18-2013 10:01 AM | Not always about muscle mass. Depends on the what you are trying to do with it. Look at guys like Lance Armstrong. Lots of the time it is about recovery time. Melky Cabrera, Bartolo Colon, Jason Grimsley. Not everyone who has been linked to PEDs is a body builder. |
Lance Armstrong was quite the case....blood building EPO, steroids and even transfusions have been cited...heavy hitting across the board |
Toronto rebuilding - oh well |
| vogeltron | 08-21-2013 04:46 AM | I even hear people talking to test Cabrera and Davis. Which I understand the suspicion. Cabrera finally quit drinking and got to bat in front of Prince Fielder lucky him. Davis had flashes in Texas and has now materialized in Baltimore. Do I think they are PED users, I hope not. You never know but thankfully there is finally testing and punishments to hopefully eradicate this. |
| Sandy D | 08-21-2013 07:49 AM | I am hoping they just show up at a random ball park for now on and force the players on a particular team to be tested.
Of course at random and for all players in uniform that day so someone does not whine about being picked on.
Can you believe Arod the dopester has attorneys saying they are going to sue MLB? He cheats, get caught and wants to sue them for what I call a person who has been caught doing drugs, cheating and helping others do the same.
Lifetime ban, name removed from all records is what I would do with him.
Pete Rose did not do drugs or cheat when he was a plater and he has a lifetime ban. Does not make sense at all. And A rod believe he is being picked on. Nope, Pete Rose is the one who got picked on. |
A. Rod got hit with a pitch 2 days ago - pitcher was saying "I was just trying to keep the hit zone clean" or something like - ha |

:heh: |
| Sandy D | 08-22-2013 06:17 PM | Another MLB blunder and twist.
Media is pushing Ichiros 4000th hit like he is going to break some record.
Sorry MLB, he is not even close.
MLB records are for those who have played in the major leagues and not in Japan.
Years ago they tried this with one of the Japanese Home Run hitters ( cannot remember name ) and was pushing that he would break all MLB records.
Ichiro is an amazing hitter for sure but he needs close to 1400 hits to break Pete Rose record.
I dont think he can get it it as he would have to play at least 7-8 more years in our major leagues to break Pete Rose's record.
I am thinking the dislike for Pete Rose is playing a role in this and I just wish they would give them credit for being a good hitter and move on as Pete Rose record will remain for a long, long time.
Next they will try to combine his records so they can take the all time real hit leader off the list at the top because of the false hatred for him. |

 | Yea, American media is seeming to not want to touch this story about a 22-23 year old Australian Baseball player being gunned down by three teenagers because they were "bored" in Oklahoma. But they will cover Martin/Zimmerman case for months. What hypocrisy. |

The Martin case was a no brainer self defense case and the poor baseball player got killed/murdered by typical thug poorly raised punks and no story has been spun like the Martin story was at all.
Hoping to see the 3 of them get life as we need to clear our streets of animals like these three. |

Sad story of gang initiation indeed.
Jays season is pretty much done, as a side note |
| vogeltron | 08-27-2013 03:44 AM | Miguel Cabrera is in Beast Mode. Forget Marshawn Lynch. Guy is putting up crazy numbers. Hitting nearly .360 40+ Home Runs and 130 RBI's with a month left in the season. This guy if he stays healthy/keeps up good production could be high on lots of the Career high lists. He is on pace to have an even better year than the last when he won the Triple Crown.
I mean everyone is suspect for PEDs. But it looks like Miggy finally quit drinking and they got Feilder to protect him and now he is hands down the best Offensive Player in baseball. Unless he tanks this last month he is a lock for the AL MVP. |
Jays beat the Yankees last night - nix on Jeter's return | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:15 PM. | |
