| Sandy D | 07-23-2013 05:42 PM | One day after I post about the roids being used Braun is a goner.
He thought he was untouchable and did not realize he would be checked again.
I am all for every single player like Sosa, McGwire, Bonds all having their records removed from basballs record books.
A Rod should be next.
They need to start dropping them like flies to send a message no more cheating. |
Braun was a MVP in 2011 as well...not good. |

No awards should be given to a cheater.
Like Bonds records, all need to be removed.
McGwires as well.
Remove them and give awards they wont and spots on the records to deserving people. |

They need to start dropping them like flies to send a message no more cheating. | Maybe we should remove all pre-Jackie Robinson era records too because they refused to play with black players. Everyone who took and upper or greenie's that use to be passed out in clubhouses. Lets also take away all the records for the newer ballparks that moved in the fences. Either way you look at it you can not compare one era to another. While many of the rules are the same the game has changed dramatically. You can't just single out steriod users. Not to mention it is hard to remove records like Clemens and Bonds who never tested positive for anything. |
That runner up to the MVP award is complaining - trying to get them to strip Braun`s MVP. |
Another collapse of the Jays vs. Dodgers |

Cheating is difference then pre Jackie Robinson. That is a different issue.
Bonds and McGwire both were using it and we all know it.
As a lifetime baseball fan standing next to McGwire many times my husband was as big as him overall and just as muscular. This would be late 80s and early 90s.
By mid to late 90s standing beside him again McGwires neck, head, arms, forearms all grew to being huge, signs of steroids.
Bonds, it has been noted his head went from size 7 hat to size 10 or something from 1990 with the Pirates to when he was in SF. Another sign of steriods.
Bonds avg 25-30 HR a year for all those years and then all of a sudden can hit 70, 65, 60, etc etc.
When McGwire broke the HR record he missed the ball by a mile, poor sloppy swing and it still went out of the park. Replay the video, his swing was late and he topped the ball.
I am a fan of Clemens, followed him for years so I never said remove his records at all. Probably one of the best all time.
I do agree no testing was ever done but wow, guys like Ken Griffey who actually played hurt all those years and would have passed them easily without the injuries. |

Since he was caught and more then once he needs to have a lifetime ban and his records removed completely from all MLB records.
Al Rod will go down and if any former or current major league player who used the same substance or trainer all should be canned.
This cheating has to be stopped and now before it just ruins baseball which is on an upswing in popularity. |
True on the upswing - these substance-pumped players should be removed from the game to keep it clean. |
GreenBean | 07-26-2013 05:05 AM | Drug cheats of any sports should be removed.
Their place as role models for youngsters merits this.
 |

I agree.
The Dennis Rodmans of the world need to be completely removed from the arena of anything that kids can see. |

The Dennis Rodmans of the world need to be completely removed from the arena of anything that kids can see. | Dennis Rodman is sort of removed - last I heard he was in North Korea hah.
Yesterday when the Astros caught up to the Jays (before Jays broke loose and won), one guy at the bar was tossed out for hurling his pint at the tv screen in disgust - was funny |
GreenBean | 07-27-2013 09:38 AM
Just another vision of grandeur by Rodman - he should be wearing his wedding dress when he makes this declaration |
GreenBean | 07-27-2013 07:38 PM
...yikes blast from the past! |
Sandy D | 07-28-2013 12:17 PM | Like GB noted, we need to clean up all sports somehow because many kids look up to these people and with freaks like Rodman, cheaters, druggies etc popping up every day it is not a good thing. |
Jays lost to Astros (on the topic of MLB) - hah such a joke |

Players at one club were given performance enchaning drugs which were on the banned list.
Club involved denied it...... then an invoice turned up on their books.
oops
It is sad when a sports hero turns out to be merely human
:surrender: |
Derek Jeter has returned..../trumpet |
GreenBean | 07-29-2013 06:32 AM | Those damn Yankees
:deadhorse: |
He came in a first hit home run - then he was forced to walk hah not good |
Oakland A's vs Jays past few days - decent gameplay as Jays win the series |

Ah ha the Lady Jay....
That elephant was flirting with some nice-looking ones at the game yesterday - good ole camera man following the antics... |
Sandy D | 08-01-2013 10:36 AM | One of my apps just stated
A Rod, one of baseballs all-time greats get caught up in the doping probe.
HEY---- He is the doper, the ultimate doping cheater and they want to protect him?
He is not one of the all time greats and not even close. No cheater should be even mentioned among the greats like Mantle, Mays, Aaron, Morgan etc etc |
An0nym0u$ | 08-01-2013 11:13 AM | The term all time great gets thrown around way to frivolously. Just another overzealous sports writer in using the term a bit too loosely.
Best baseball player I ever saw play was Ken Griffey Jr. He was never mixed in the steroid era and hit over 600 hrs, yet was overshadowed by cheaters like Sosa, McGwire and Bonds.
And best athlete I ever saw was Bo Jackson...guy just did things you will never see again. |
Sandy D | 08-01-2013 12:55 PM | LOL
I was going to add his name above with Mantle, Mays, Aaron, Morgan etc but did not.
I enjoyed watching him play as he was so smooth. Injuries kept him from breaking records etc his last 10 years.
Those 3 cheaters you mentioned should never be mentioned on any all time greats list along with Palmerio, A rod etc.
Any player suspended this week for drug use should be banned for life and not given a second chance. Names come out tomorrow I believe. |

| True for sports writers anywhere in the world.
Give too much power to players/sportspeople.
:heh: |
Fighting for A Rod - I saw that too ...terrible indeed |
Sandy D | 08-04-2013 12:17 AM | Why is MLB even negotiating with doper Rod?
Ban his sorry butt, removed his name and numbers from the record books and the other 10-14 they are going to ban on Monday, can them for life.
No second chances, no third like Manny Rameriz etc.
Negotiate with a cheater? Why.
Then doper Rod has the nerve to say he is being picked on?
Amazing to me. |

Amazing to me. | Legend in his own mind.
He will believe his own rhetoric.
Happens all the time in society.
:argue: |
He is trying a lot to shift the blame on other people...so childish |
Sandy D | 08-04-2013 12:49 PM | Maybe he will just retire to spare us all of bs.
He has a team of lawyers?
For what?
Help him cheat?
Ticks me off that he believes MLB should negotiate with him. For what?
A good player who then became known because all of a sudden he started doing the Bonds thing and hitting 50 HRs when he only hit 25-30 before?
Can him. Spare us. |
GreenBean | 08-06-2013 04:26 AM
211 games suspended - but he can play while doing his appeal so...what a racket |
GreenBean | 08-06-2013 05:49 AM | 214 games all up.
We want to get rid of the drug cheats....
yeah sure.
 |
Slap on the wrist - that whole idea of playing through appeal means he is being taken care off on the side. Havent read about the other players yet...cheats |
GreenBean | 08-06-2013 06:07 AM | The other players have ( mainly) stated they accept the 50 game ban and ask for forgiveness from family, team and fans.....
In other words Geeze I am really sorry I got caught out.
Not sure of any (true) remorse
