More exciting.
Go to a big time college game. The atmosphere is amazing.
Ohio St Michigan
Florida Fla State
LSU Alabama
Been to many college games but those three games are unreal. |

Been to many college games but those three games are unreal. | So true - 2 of my bois are really into this and have gone across the border. Good tip there.
Saints got held back by the Jets too - bit surprising. |
| Sandy D | 11-04-2013 01:00 PM | Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Watched LSU Alabama a couple of years back and that atmosphere was amazing.
Still nothing like Ohio St - Michigan games.
Ohio St has been destroying Michigan lately and that is a good thing. |
Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Michigan and Ohio are both accessible - they normally play on the Saturdays, right? |

College games if you attend or watch the better teams is far more exciting then the pros.
The greatest college game ever considered by many was 2006 OSU and Michigan. |
Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Yes the Saturday drive to Ohio or Michigan is about 7-9 hours - definitely fun to do. Have driven before for other events so...all good for the tips |
| Sandy D | 11-04-2013 04:47 PM | Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Ohio St games are always sold out so you have to get tickets some other way. |
Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Ugh - time to go back to school then hah |
| Sandy D | 11-10-2013 01:39 AM | Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Alabama looks to be on their way to winning another Natl Championship.
Very good team once again.
McCarron deserves to Heisman.
They keep pushing the Oregon qb and for me he is now out of the running.
Fl State qb and McCarron only two left I think that deserves it.
Ohio St Qb Miller should now be ahead of Oregons qb.
Alabama vs Fla State or Ohio St in Nat Championship game. hummmm. |
| vogeltron | 11-10-2013 03:35 AM | Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Sandy D, I have been warming up to college football myself over the past few years. I think starting next year with the playoff system they are moving in the right direction. However, I still think it should be at-least the top 6 six teams with byes for top seeds. I would prefer top 8 teams. Top 4 teams is at-least heading in the right direction. |

The playoffs had to go with 4 teams because of time restrictions.
I would have went with 5 teams myself with whoever ends up at no 1 getting the bye and playing the winner of the other 4. Keeps teams playing hard for that no. 1 spot.
Fla State QB is awesome and only a freshman.
This would be a perfect year for that playoffs as Ohio St has won 23 in a row, Stanford kicks Oregon around and playing well, Fla St and Alabama could win out and Baylor looking very good. |
Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Nice win by Alabama and then Texas A&M (Johnny Football hah). FSU dominated.
Big NFL Sunday but Thursday I think is Saints and Cowboys. |

Cowboys need a new coach and a new perspective. |
Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Actually it`s tonight - my bad - you're right about Manziel...quick injury end of the career |

Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Hah quite healthy nyc - which games did you end up catching?
Saints vs Cowboys got pretty lopsided quickly |

Saints vs Cowboys got pretty lopsided quickly | I caught saints vs cowboys on Sunday, which like you said, it was lopsided. Just seen the worst MNF game ever IMO. |
Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Very lopsided.
On the plus side...Bucs won but I lost my bet on the Dolphins UGH...Dolphins were looking like they could do it in the 3rd...
I was laughing ...21 yard punt by the Bucs kicker...what is this?!? |
| Sandy D | 11-13-2013 08:43 AM | Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun NFL is starting to look like a joke to me.
So many issues, poorly coached teams, under performing teams, whining players etc.
Do not remember so many crazy things going on in the NFL as this year. |
Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Agree - the quality doesnt have the same thrill as past years.
The Kansas City streak is still refreshing given their last year finish. |

Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Ha yes the Lions - nice point out nyc! |

Do not remember so many crazy things going on in the NFL as this year. | The changes the NFL has made to rules on hitting other players, and the change to allow only 1 contact practice per week (I believe) is actually the reason for so many injuries this year.
They're trying so hard to make this a "safer" game by tweaking certain rules and trying to change the physicality, yet they are only causing more & more injuries. |

The Kansas City streak is still refreshing given their last year finish. | So happy for Alex Smith. Finally somewhere that he is appreciated. He took nothing but **** here in Nor Cal. Never said a word. Just put on his SF Giants hat and proceeded with the post game conference. Everyone got on the Kapernick bandwagon. I was saying hold up he is Grbac 2.0. Hasn't looked very good this year, I guess time will tell. Andy Reid as well. Going through all that nonsense in Phily and losing his son and everything else. I am a firm believer of good things happen to good people, great things happen to great people. Chiefs aren't the best team in the NFL I admit that. But I think they have those intangibles.
The Sunday night game should be awesome. Going to be a good test for KC and going to be interesting for Denver as well. Because the way the records are you could have like a 13 win team in the AFC West not winning the Division and having to go on the road as a Wild Card team. Crazy!!! |
Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun You're right about the wild card status - hah crazy indeed! |
| Sandy D | 11-16-2013 05:23 PM | Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun This has been the oddest NFL season I think I can ever remember.
So many weird things, teams playing under their talent, over their talent, players in trouble etc. |

So far not many can stop the genius Peyton, he is just too smart and reads everything they toss at him.
I think if anything their Defense might be the problem with a few injuries and older d backs. |
Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Peyton had the ball out to his receivers within 2 seconds last night. That's craaaaazy fast. |

Brady is also right up there but Peyton is the smartest QB since Marino for sure and now has so many weapons to go to. In Indy he has Wayne and Harrison and usually not a very good running back other then Addai and before that the back who went to Arizona but never had all this talent he has now. |
Re: NFL Season 2013 has begun Wow what a great MNF game. Did y'all catch cam say BOA at the end instead of Bank of America stadium. Ayyyyyeeee. Cam low key stealth. |

He needs to win another SB before he gets into the Montana, Elway, Brady class. Probably the best regular season QB without a doubt. But so much of players legacy now, especially for the Quarterback position is tied to Superbowl wins. I know he got one and lost the other one. Don't know if it is right or wrong but it seems like when you talk about the greatest of all time even throwing in Staubach, Unitas, or Otto Graham. Winning SB or Championships before SB era they guys at the top of the list seem to always have multiple SB wins. |

Marino did not have enough good players ever around him to win much but surely the best pure passer I ever saw before Peyton came along.
Dan Fouts is mentioned a lot but when you throw the pass 60 times every game you are surely going to have some numbers. |
