Activity: 0% Longevity: 66% | | TV device box to hook up internet?
I just got my TV in this week and unboxed it today.
I don't have wifi on the TV but I would like to have internet on the TV! I was wondering about "Dual Core Android 4.2 Media Player TV Box Internet Streamer XBMC Youtube" off ebay but no idea if this is a good one.
Can anyone tell me of a good one out there? To serf the web, watch youtube videos mostly.
Something nice and easy to use. I got HDMI, USB on my TV and some other stuff I never knew until today.
Hoping MM might know something since he is into electronics.

But the USB part is very sweet! If you ask me. | If you have a computer or iPad or tablet , u can hook the HDMI cable from your tv to your device and either extend, mirror images from one device to the other
I purchased the adapter that plugs into my iPad and I can plug an HDMI cable into and connect my iPad to my tv
Which I can watch movies that are on both PC 's I have in my house by streaming , u just connect wirelessly to the networks and through vlc streamer you can watch movies you have on whatever networks you have in the house
Or you can hook your computer up directly to your tv just plug in one end into the PC or lap top the other end into ur computer

I recommend the G-Box Midnight MX2. It comes with XBMC built in and is solid as a rock. I've had one for nearly a year now and it is awesome. And the price, at $100 or so, is cheap for what it is capable of.
I don't know if they are on eBay, but Matricom (the manufacturer) sells them on Amazon.

Hoping MM might know something since he is into electronics. | the box you are talking about is based on the mx2 design/chip set, the mx2 is quite a good box for watching/downloading movies, tv series etc and general internet browsing through xbmc, but a much better box is the newer quad core version (CS918 Quad Core Android 4.2 TV Box) which is a lot faster with smoother playback, both are available through eeeebay or the river,
but check sellers feedbacks as there are many copy versions of these boxes out there which are of a lesser quality and do not run xbmc very well, also
avoid the new m8 quad box at the moment its "too new" lol although it has a quad core cpu and an octo core gpu and everyone is claiming it is the best/newest etc the firmware has many problems as it was released too soon and everyone is waiting for firmware updates to sort it out which are slow coming and a pain to install as you have to flash it which can brick (kill) the box if not done correctly,
all the above boxes will turn your tv into a fully functional smart tv and connect through the hdmi port, which ever box you go for check it has mashup and icefilms already installed,
however if you want to watch movies etc on a pad/laptop with a more direct, one click solution then take a look at these programs, show box and videomixpro both are free and simple to use,
sorry for the long reply but hope it helps
anything else just ask i am into this field so hopefully can help you out with info

Best way to do this, get an ipad and an Apple TV. You can mirror all the videos from your ipad on to your tv wirelessly, those ugly wired are a thing of the past.
Best thing about it is that you only mirror the video from the ipad or iPhone video portion only, not the web page. So for example, if you go on a news site, sports site or whatever and just want to play the video clip that is only taking like 25% of your screen, it only projects the video part. I absolutely love it.
Not only that, if you have amazon prime, you can project your movies from the ipad to the TV, full sd or hd. You don't need to project Netflix because the Apple TV app already has Netflix.
I tend to stay away from google stuff because not only is it complicate as hell, but it's a spying machine! I mean, even more so than eBay.
This will work on your no wireless tv, because the Apple TV is the one that uses your wireless network.

I just seen something at verizon that is wireless device that will mirror from Android to Tv or PC to your Tv
I need to go there today and I'm going to take a closer look, but that's where wireless would be really nice from my laptop to my Tv

Thanks everyone. I wanted something with movies cause I got HD 1080p 40 inch. I wanted 51 inch plasma but plasma is not so great since my place has a lot of sun light and it would glare.
So LED was way best. So far I tested a few movies with my 2TG drive and omg it's really nice!
I was testing a few movies for a few seconds ended up watching 6 hours of movies that night. lol

Iran happens to be one of them.
I meet a guy in Ireland who owned a forum of selling seeds to grow weed. In Ireland it's legal to sell seeds, but his servers had to be in Amsterdam where it was legal to talk about it. I meet him in person years ago. PP did cut him off because of the products he was selling. So WU is the only way he does things now days.
