Re: The definitive VERO item
P90X, BeachBody, Disney DVD's (especially animation), Shaun Insanity, Tiffany, Box Sets of DVD's, Bose, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Coach, Apple ANYTHING, NFL Jerseys, Nike, Microsoft, Adobe, Rolex... ALL of these things will bring scrutiny to a new account - even to an OLD account, but to a new one especially - and will end in disaster.
This is NOT a complete list, but a lot of people fall into the VERO trap with these products. We try to warn them, but they don't listen. Then, a few weeks later, they are back here posting "HELP! COPYRIGHT LAWYER TRYING TO RUIN MY LIFE!!!"
There are TONS of things you can sell PROFITABLY on eBay that do NOT INVOLVE selling these brand names, or anything else counterfeit or questionable.
Yes, it IS a comedown! When I first stumbled onto DHgate, I thought I had discovered the HOLY GRAIL of wholesale sources. And it DOES kind of make sense - everything is made in China these days, so it follows that the best deals could be found there. Then I found out that almost all of these offerings were counterfeits. I felt like I got punched in the stomach! There I was, planning my 4th million and BOOM, it just dissolved into thin air. I didn't want to believe it. I didn't want to accept it. I was all ready to make big money re-selling EVERYTHING on DHgate. So, I ordered a few box sets of DVD's as samples. Sure enough, many of the covers had misspellings on them, some of the discs started with Chinese subtitles, etc.
So, don't be fooled. If you find a deal on DHgate, AliExpress, or anywhere else that sells items commonly selling for $200 for $30, then it is likely counterfeit.
