...I was COMPLETELY broadsided by my eBay suspension.

Hello.

I am a new member to this forum and am reading and trying to absorb all the info in it, and in the Stealth manual.

I am a very, very longtime eBay member (PowerSeller, Top Rated, etc) and was making it my full time job until my recent suspension. I was sure that it was a mistake and wasted TONS of time jumping through eBay's many hoops and getting wildly conflicting stories on how to be reinstated, only to be ultimately dumped on my head. Suffice it to say eBay's punishment FAR exceeded my so-called crime.

During this process I naively wondered if I was the only eBay seller to be so unfairly treated, and halfheartedly Googled "I was suspended from eBay." Holy COW, what a slew of results, and here I am. I can't believe that I had no idea what a widespread issue this is.

I am studying the Stealth Book, trying to make sure I have my ducks in a row before getting back out there. A big THANKS for taking the time and incredible effort to make it available to schmucks like me, who had no idea anything like this could happen to responsible sellers.

My plan is to purchase a stealth account (or two, or three) from one of this forum's trusted sellers, then slowly and carefully build up limits while creating my own stealth accounts so that when this happens again I will not be without options, as I surely was this time.

I of course have questions but am going to go read through the Guide again, in hopes of not making dumb, obvious inquiries that are already discussed within.

I am truly grateful to have found this forum, and look forward to participating.

You have got it right NoOneYouKnow, inwardly digest the guide then you will be in the right frame of mind to come back here and ask questions and follow the same learning curve that the rest of us have followed, welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forums. I had pretty much the same experience as you did. I always thought that the people suspended by eBay were con artists or counterfeiters. And then I got suspended and started looking around too - I found out that wasn't true. LOTS OF PEOPLE get suspended. That is why the forum exists.

This could be a blessing in disguise. When you go stealth, you can have as many accounts as you like. This lessens your risk, making it nearly impossible for eBay to shut down your business in one hissy fit. If you have 10 accounts and one of then gets shut down, 90% of your business is still up and running.

Look around, get the stealth guide and feel free to ask questions.
