Using a proxy server. Not A Crappy Online One

I am about to create another ebay account. I have i reset my modem to clear my old IP (probably will do it once more). But I am thinking, to keep me a little bit safer, use a proxy server....not one of those crappy online proxy's. I am talking about getting an actual server address and entering it into firefox's settings. I have already entered one and it seems to change my IP, this locates me in the UK.

This sound like a good idea when creating a new ebay account?

No not a good idea. ebay detects a proxy.If your IP can change it would be preferable to use that method.

1. eBay does not like proxy any more. It's one of their old enemies.
2. UK IP will get your USA ID in trouble.

You probably won't see an immediate problem, it's just a matter of time.

You can mask the proxy to fool ebay into thinking its an actual computer and not running a proxy..

or setup a computer somewhere else and connect through its connection remotely.. obv a tired option.

But runnning a hardware server/proxy setup is best or a switch with 8 computers all running individual ip's which is what I have in my server room.

You need a isp with dynamic ip's you then need a vnp switch a hardware firewall run your dsl modem through the firewall and the firewall to the switch. then lan cable each computer up to the switch.

Each computer will then have its "own" connection to the internet rather than a router which holds the connection and then feeds it out to each network ip

the ip the computer gets its from the isp not any router.

thus having 8 computers.

you can do this upto 24 computers with 24 indvidual ip's

then build your own VPN tunnel within the connection and create your own mini ip pool and a script file to cycle between them.

lol. How much does a setup like that cost (minus the computers)? Couldn't you do that without all the comps and still have different IP's going out of each switch? So couldnt you connect it to 1-3 computers and then switch it over and have another IP?
