Default iPhone 4 tether

I am able to tether my iPhone 4 3G to my Apple Mac Mini Computer without any problem. I currently only have one brand new eB and PP account. Of course, I would like to add additional accounts in the future.

I do have a couple of questions:

1. How much data is typically used with stealth accounts? I currently have AT&T with a 200 MB/per month plan. I can add another 100 MB (300 total) for an additional $5.00 per month. I plan to use Auctiva when I'm able to list but that will be down the road. I do have a few small things that I need to purchase which will help with feedback.

2. I've read that others are having problems with AT&T limiting the number of available IP addresses. Is this common with AT&T. Do other carriers also have this limitation? My AT&T contract isn't up until November and will look at other options if AT&T is indeed limiting IP addresses.

Thanks in advance!

1. There is no set amount of data that is used when using stealth accounts, it's just depends what your are doing (ex. uploading photos, answering emails etc).
1b. Purchases aren't the best way to get feedback on stealths, usually it's recommended to sell some small items.

2. The amount of IP's depends where you live, obviously in a big city there are more IP's than a small town. Some of us do experience Repeating IP's, it just depends where you are.

I opened two other accounts several months ago and as soon as I listed an item each time the account was immediately shut down. I called eB and they asked questions I couldn't answer (what street did you live on previously, where did you work, etc.). Very frustrating to create eB accounts, open bank accounts, verify PP account and then BAM . . . shut down. Ugh!

i can help

as a guide my GF uses ebay solely with a tethered iphone

she used approximately 800-900mb per month

shes on for a few hours a day (only ebay/pp/amazon) no downloading at all

IMHO 200-300mb would be nowhere near sufficient to run ebay accounts

I was changing IP's via iPhone 4 tether. I listed a few clothing/shoe items (women's shirt, child's leotard and tap shoes). All of these items were used and not more than $15.00 each. I was listing through Auctiva and not directly with eB. I created a separate user account on my Mac and did not clear cookies and was very careful about the websites I visited on those user accounts (the email account associated with that eB account and news websites mostly).

Would listing the first few items via Auctiva raise any red flags?
