I am using a dongle as I thought it hid my IP address or changed it. I go on IPBurger and it says my IP address is178.98.201.164 but I go on IP location finder and it gives my correct IP address so if they can see it surely EB/PP can?? confused again

What do you mean by you go on 'IP location finder and it gives my correct IP address'. If you are connect via a dongle, IP burger will show your public IP address (the one that EB can see). Any service that shows your public IP will show the same address as IP Burger.

There is no such thing as a real and non real IP address. Dongles don't hide your IP address.

Is it possible that the site you are using that is not IP Burger is showing you is your local IP address?

Post a hyper-link to the alternative website you are using.

That shows exactly the same as IP Burger for me, as well as the inbuilt chrome app I use to track my IP's.

Are you trying to use something to hide your IP?

All you need to do it disconnect from your House/Puplic ect WiFI, and then plug in the dongle, check the IP via which ever website you want to use, take a note of the Public IP address and then your good to go.

Just have to be careful to make sure you don't use the same IP address twice, so track it in Excel.

No need to use any IP hiding software, they basically don't work.

Again I don't understand what you mean by correct IP address. IP Burger, and any other IP service will show you your public IP address. There is no such thing as a false and real IP unless you try to use an IP blocker/VPN ect.

If you are just connected via dongle then you will only have 1 IP address, and that will be the same regardless of which site you check it on.

By correct IP address I mean if i connect to my own wifi i get my own correct IP address. When i say false I mean the IP address i get when going through a dongle. Open two tabs IP burger says IP address is at the moment 178.104.***** I go on IP location finder it comes up with my own wifi IP address.
All it is I am worried I am doing something wrong if the accounts I am setting up all get shut down through connected IP address I guess I am.

Have you disconnect your laptop from your WiFi? Even better, switch off your home WiFi so you do not accidently connect to it. Then you will have no issues.

Edit the post so we cannot see all of your IP, who knows who is watching

Based on what you are describing, your laptop or computer is connecting to two networks. If you are running a wireless network and also connecting a dongle at the same time, you will indeed get two public IP addresses. When you try to surf the internet, the FAST CONNECTION WINS. So, if your dongle is slower, you will never see that IP address in ipburger.com. Disable the wireless when you are using a dongle and you are covered.

I hope this helps!
