use the one you have best knowledge of , the security is not the issue but ability to handle the programm in all major aspects

I use VMware, but yeah they are both fine. Use whatever you can get a hold of and or have knowledge of. They will both fit the bill

Be nice if threads get closed after a few months inactivity as other forums do, so we get fresh input. VMware works for me.

Agreed. The only folk who use old threads are the spammers and post-count grabbers thinking they'll slip under the radar, not realising it bumps them to the top of the page.

Saijin is the only moderator who tries to keep on top of it to an extent but they could be auto closed as you suggest.

The downside is that between the spammers and rsot's junkpost mandate then current threads would become an absolute mess and be pushed off the front page.
