You could try switching to another PO Box. If that doesn't work you can use any other local real address if you're only accepting online payments. It would be good to have a PO Box address though to be more legit, but if you feel you're going to be suspended again later on it may not be worth it. There are a lot of options, it's really up to you what you feel is best.

Is it safe to switch from a real address (its actually ⊗⊗⊗⊗) to a PO box once you feel comfortable your in ebay for good?

I had serveral active accounts for few years before got suspended few weeks ago. There had been never any problem with normal log in from different countries and computers - I travel a lot - maybe none of my accounts was given attention because I wasn't breaking any major rule or selling VERO, only a few negs(still above 98%) and occasional warning about certain ad copy word. This time done me in only because of a small ad word issue, it was not illegal, but they accuse me of copyright violation anyway. Can't argue with them, whatever they say is it.

OK...thought I asked this somewhere else, but for the life of me, I cannot find it anywhere

I found out that I can switch my UPS box to a different box number for the remainder of my contract. Should this be safe as far as Ebay and PP are concerned? It will be the same street address, but with a different box number, kind of like a different apartment number in an apartment building, right? I'll also use a different name, so do you all think this address should now be safe??

Thanks in advance

I use a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address, just use someone near your area's address works fine for me

But I already have my UPS box - it is paid for until the end of the year. That is why I am trying to still utilize it.

So that is why I am just wondering if by just switching the box number will that be considered a different address, as far as Ebay and PayPal are concerned...know what I mean?

Default Multiple EBAY Ids on one computer

after 7 months since my 1st ebay suspension,I've finally figured out the way to run multiple ebay id on one machine and avoid linking!!!!!

i bet modee/apkin and few more people actually know what I found, but no one ever mention anything here.

unfortunately, the info i found is not as useful as it was,now all accounts require paypal,it took me too long, damnit!!!!

URGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for those people who are hesitate to purchase an pre 11/2007 account, just get one now,it's indeed safe ....urgh!!!!!!only if i figured this out earlier,i am only 4 months late!!!!!

F*** ME!!!!

p.s.for those who keep getting suspended,my advice, try to find a hacker or someone who actually know network security, you are wasting your time here.cleaning cookies will only get you this far.

what?? i'm not a computer expert, and i use all of the info here. i have multiple accounts, and use one machine. i have been selling for months with no problems. i think it was your lack of following all of these simple rules on this forum that was getting you linked.

I used to make multiple Windows user accounts a few months back, just to be 100% sure. These days I use the same account, I just clear my cookies. That's the only secret

Agree. I have multiple accounts, same profile/user on 1 pc and have been using AOL to obtain different IPS (using broadband). I run CCleaner everytime I open that browser...no problems so far.

Well multiple Windows/Linux IDs could help, because you don't have to clear cookies and your passwords can be memorized.

The only thing you have to keep track of are IPs..

Hello. I'm new to the forum. I purchased ebay_salvation last week and I'm having a hard time with getting back online. I just don't know if I'm doing it right. I have so many questions about getting online, but there are two questions that I want to ask right now because I am not seeing a clear answer here.
1. I can never just use my computer in my home anymore? I have to visit various sites so I am using different IP addresses?
2. How can I use paypal to sell again. All of my bank accounts are in my name. Don't they catch onto that?
I'm deperate to get back online, losing tons of money each day. Any advice will be helpful.
Thanks!

Of course you can use your PC from your home...you have to change the IP either manually or find a program that hides it. Also, AOL seems to work great...use it all the time now (broadband) and I come-up under a Proxy w/different IP...no problems.

2. How can I use paypal to sell again. All of my bank accounts are in my name. Don't they catch onto that?

Don't worry about bank being in your name...they have to be. No, pp does not catch the name...only the account # & route #.

Well at least I am not alone :D

Seems like this should qualify as a "new and different" address, but before I go ahead and change it, I am really hoping to get some advice - maybe from someone with experience with this.

Wink

ebay/paypal accepts that people move: if you are currently in good standing, change your address. Should not raise flags. Haven't you heard of relocating because of flood damage to your apartment, the cat sh*t in its litter box

Have a story ready. You are going to be able to provide 'proof' of address so it should work. Good Luck.

Thanks GreenBean

But to clarify...I am not in good standing - I am actually starting over.
I am trying to set up my new accounts and I want to have at least one real address. And like I said earlier, I already have this UPS box through the end of the year, so I hate to waste it. I would think it would be considered a new and different address just by changing the box number, but I wanted to be sure. I guess I'll just give it a shot and hope for the best!

That's what I am wondering too still. Say I registered the account with an adddress of a box at a UPS store. Now I actually have a box # and want to add it to the street address on eBay. So I am just wondering if that would cause any flags in their system. This account is in good standing. Never used it to sell anything, only buy.
