| aspkin | 08-25-2007 01:48 PM | If eBay has enough information on you, and you don't pay any seller fees due, they'll try to collect using a collections agency; other then that, they can't do anything. |

| ihatebay | 08-27-2007 08:51 AM | I doubt it, Ebay is making a lot of money to even care about the amount they are losing. Look at how much it costs to even list an items these days... |

I even called in ebay customer support they were baffled after looking at my feedback and sales monthly, but they couldnt figure it out the funny thing though they asked if I was gonna pay the fees I said NO unless you get my account reinstated no luck no dice...fck em. :D |

| Van Player | 09-14-2007 08:44 PM | Mac and multiple AOL installs.. can anyone confirm? Hi
Is it true that one can have multiple AOL all-in-one software installed on MACs operating systems only (not possible on PC)? If so, can one run multiple AOL's at same time, with multiple screen name logins, to monitor multiple EB/PP accounts at the same time? is this safe?
I just want forum to confirm, before investing in a Mac. Thanks all! |
| DogFacedBoy | 09-15-2007 12:11 AM | I found out last night the AOL drops cookies or something into IE because I never accessed EB with the account that I have been using powered by AOL and when I unknowingly got hyper-linked to EB while browsing with IE there it said Welcome (my user ID) (obviously knew me by a cookie or something) I was shocked because I thought that I could do the same type of a thing using 1 AOL and 1 IE at the same time.
Macs could very well be different though, just wanted to share this info here because it seemed similar. |
| Van Player | 09-16-2007 08:58 PM | yeah, i think AOL and IE share the same cookie jar. thats why its a good idea to delete browser history in IE as well, before using AOL. anyways, best to stay away from IE altogether, and us MOZILLA or something that you can set to automatically clear cookies, history etc, each time you access it.
Also, since IE and AOL use same cookies, i think if you religiously clear footprint in AOL each time before and after you use it, you should be OK, as it should also clear the associated cookies in IE. but, im not 100% sure on this, perhaps someone more familiar with the 2 can confirm this.
anyways.. can someone please let me know about the MAC and multiple AOL installs question i had earlier? i'd hate to drop 2k on a MAC just to find out it can't do what i need it to do... ;-)
thanks ! |
| Van Player | 09-17-2007 03:10 AM | hmm... then what are ppl talking about on this forum using Macs with multiple AOL installs?
maybe they were using older version of AOL installs, and older Macs, not intel based? it sure would be nice to be able to use intel based (or any other usable) macs with multiple aol installs, so we can track all accounts at same time, don;t you think? its such a pain .. so many accounts, so few computers in the office.. all this switching around is making my head spin... lol.. |
| kissdemon | 10-19-2007 12:33 PM | Selling different items from two accounts or one? I was wondering if any of you guys here thought it was advantageous to sell different items from different seller ID's. My inventory consists of two different product lines and I am thinking whether to just sell everything from one ID or use a backup one to sell the second line.
I guess an important question is whether or not you are more likely to get suspended if you sell different items from one seller ID.
Thanks for any input, |
| DogFacedBoy | 10-19-2007 12:46 PM | Right now I have mine split into 2. There are some rather specific items so I am careful not to over lap them, because if one account gets hit it might immeadiately cast suspicion on the other account. So far I have had both up and running for two month and have run a bit of volume through each. I am leaning toward weaning myself to one and establishing a third in case either one gets hit.
So far things seem to be going pretty well and after being here for a while I can't imagine how either of these could ever get linked to the NARU'd accounts. |
| vers0 | 10-20-2007 03:11 AM | I have had better success selling different brands are all accounts. I use to sell one brand on one account because if was easier to manager. I now use several accounts and also limit my selling on each account. I think spreading it all over several accounts is the way to go....I do place limits on myself on how much I sell per account in a week. |
| mr burns | 10-20-2007 07:29 PM | Hi all
Id just like to start off by saying this site rocks!
I have spent a week reading most of the threads and have got some really good info out of you guys
and have used aspkins guide, and have started a new EB account.
But i am still a little puzzled about this ip address thing.
I need an ezy to use ip changer for multi accounts so started to use
aol browser as stated in this thread but it dont change my ip???
Do i need to set something?
Also i know that this isnt the right thread for this question but i will try to kill 2 birds with 1 stone if i may modee “As long as my ip is different everytime i log onto EB,does this show a big red flag†sayingâ€hey this guy must have something sly going on†|

| aspkin | 12-24-2007 07:56 PM | Multiple Account Tips and Tricks Forum We all know having more then one eBay account can help increase your sales. But it's tricky to manage your accounts without linking; whether you have buyer only accounts, seller accounts or just backup accounts. Hope for the best, plan for the worst. This forum is dedicated to handling multiple eBay accounts without linking! Good luck! |
| ebayhateluv | 12-24-2007 09:10 PM | HI- I usually run an average of 7-11 accts at a time, based upon the huge inventory i have.
What i do?
a.) I dont run more than 3 on any pc at a time- that way I'm never "out of business"
b.) I keep all of my acct info on index cards/ in a file box- the ones I'm working on -are under "use now"
c.) Even when listing the SAME item on diff accts- the zipcodes are diff/ the pics are diff and the verbage is ALWAYS "out of my head"-no more copy + paste of the descriptions/titles
d.) I keep my shipping diff also- one acct may offer usps-priority for $4.75 for a can of hairspray
While the exact same item- on another acct has it for ups ground $9.95 flat rate
While another acct- does NOT sell overseas at all- and the insurance rates are all different.
** The photos are all diff-diff angles/diff shots--One acct may say the can is 12 ounces, while the other may say close to 12.5 ounces +/-.
**One acct may have the :"Item location" as Beverly Hills, CA--while another may have the same item as "USA", while another as an East Coast State.
** ONe acct may offer to accept POstal Money orders, while one ONLY accepts Paypal, while another maybe ONLY a merchant acct
**One acct may have a subtitle, while the others do not,
**One acct may have just a 1 line sentence for a descript, while the other is a long winded descript--with LOTS of Fluff...
**One acct may have a Strict pay in 24 hrs after auction checkout instruction, while another maybe please pay in 10 days
**One acct may have a 3 day auction, while others maybe 7 or 10 day
** ONe acct may have BOLD+ GIFT+ Gallery PLUS, while the others may or may not even ave a gallery pic (depends on item price/and whether Vero )
***One acct may have the Sellers address in the checkout and another may be completely blank...
**ONe acct may have Buyer Restrictions, while another may let anyone bid..
SO--- by doing all of this-- I can have 3 Sales Teams at once on any one Product.... |
..... How do you have time to do all of that and sell successfully?
Also wouldn't one type of listing sell for better than another type?
Why must we go to all this trouble?
Why can't we just use eBid.net? I like what they're doing, and its an excellent seller alternative, it just needs the traffic.. oh and also the ability to own all the other domains (.com .org. co.uk etc). Why can't eBay sellers make a pact or something, to direct their customers away from eBay and to eBid, as a sort of protest?
Why are eBay nasty mean heads? :(
Has anyone considered writing a program to help out with all the aspects of this sort of stuff? And if they did write a program, and more to the point, if they marketed it and sold it, would I be sued for doing so? (Notice how I changed pronouns there).
I want my account back. *pout* |
| ebayhateluv | 12-26-2007 10:56 AM | Hi- I've got to do what I've got to do..
-- Once only 7 months ago- I was able to wake up to 30-40 orders sitting in Paypal ready to be shipped each and every day.. I loaded up on Inventory for this Christmas Season.. I do not drop ship, so all of my INventory is owned by me. I have quite an Investment.. Ebay has forced me to go "underground" so to speak.. If it wasnt for ASpkins forum, I would have lost my BUsiness by now... |
| ivegotinfo | 12-26-2007 09:53 PM | wow ebayhateluv those are some good tips lol, wow, even with the different shipping methods, listing durations good ideas!!! before i used to list a lot of similar stuff, and all my accounts are in the same city too...wow i gota make it totally random. thanks |
| loveandhate | 12-27-2007 12:58 PM | Wouldnt that be nice to form a strike against ebay? we would be getting a lot of publicity, and it might drive our sales up big time. we should have a list of all the message boards, and maybe form an organization to switch off ebay onto another bidding site and paypal site. but we would need a company that is willing to accept this type of change and take on the challenge. who's with me? it would throw ebay into the trash can and create new pavement for our businesses as we know it. |
| aspkin | 12-27-2007 08:28 PM | One day loveandhate, one day. EBay is too large and dominate right now. They're killing their own self with all the recent changes...
You know what I feel like the Taliban on the United States... Wow... what am I doing? |
| loveandhate | 12-28-2007 12:30 PM | Lol Lol Lol |
| sycore | 12-28-2007 04:09 PM | *One acct may have the :"Item location" as Beverly Hills, CA--while another may have the same item as "USA", while another as an East Coast State."
LOL. That damn TV show, 90210 ruined that zip code. I always used that zip code in the early days, then started using the zips of my previous customers. Seems like it runs in cycles for me, 3 months of smooth sailing then, a few weeks of them hammering my new accounts, but I always have something up. I just keep coming at them, and I think I have a fairly good idea of how it works. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 01:22 PM. | |
