| | | ivegotinfo | 02-02-2008 12:24 AM | ^ yep thats exactly what i did and i have 10x less feedback that your 6000 account. i started getting too many veros, so i just popped open a few new accounts and started selling there, and now just sell regular things from the main account |
| hepper65 | 02-02-2008 07:14 AM | On the reinstatement form that I had to fax in there was a part where they ask you for the name of the suspended user ID and any other user IDs that I would like reinstated. At the time I faxed in the form I just put the main one that I needed reinstated thinking that if they saw that I was using another ID they would not reinstate me. Both accounts used the same name, address, credit card, and linked to same Paypal. I think they are aware that I was using my second ID while suspended but reinstate me anyway due to such a minor infraction that got me suspended to begin with which was lifting the small company logo into the listing description. |
| ebayhateluv | 02-02-2008 10:43 AM | Hepper-- If "I" was you....
I'd let that 2nd acct SIT..
(theyve changed up so many rules/regs)-- Maybe you got Lucky?
Thank your Lucky Stars you got back in...
(Look what we all have to go through in here to get back, and go underground + all)...
>>> What "used to take me" 3-4 hrs/day to generate 30-40 orders/day, now takes me 12-18 hrs sometimes.. no kidding :)) |
| nubby | 02-02-2008 11:18 AM | Does ebay track my ID to compare with registered address? Just doubt ,
Does ebay track my ID to compare with registered address?
If not I will use full different address to UK too.
thanks. |
| mantisinc | 02-02-2008 11:47 AM | Can you clarify just what a VERO item is? I know it's part of eBay's intelecual property rights program, and I've been done for VERO before. But, what items come under it? Any that have IP?
Would listings be taken down ONLY if you abuse the IP, or just if the item has IP owners at all? |
I'm using FireFox profiles for multiple eBay accounts.
I created a "template" profile with FoxyProxy addon, turned options etc. Just a clear profile ready to ebay.
After that I cloned this profile to 100 identical profiles.
So, each my account is in its own profile, using each own socks proxy (via FoxyProxy addon), and they are completely isolated. |
| ivegotinfo | 02-02-2008 01:43 PM | using proxies is risky. best bet to dial it up
vero item is a brand name item. listings can get taken down for any reason ebay sees fit. there are thousands of stories of people selling real things and they get veroed. |
| hepper65 | 02-02-2008 02:05 PM | Yes I think that is good advice from you..I think I got lucky also to get reinstated. Thanks |
| ebay100 | 02-02-2008 02:17 PM | What? They REINSTATE???
I suggest you go with a total new one ,let second just sit and then try again.
EB;) |
| Chris Hanson | 02-07-2008 02:17 AM | Okay I am going to start using dial in addition to cable internet. My question is this..
When I use dial up how often will I see the same Ip over again?? Is that like a 1 in a million chance of seeing the same Ip address again??
Will I have to keep track of my dial up ip's? |
| ivegotinfo | 02-07-2008 08:58 PM | yeah i usually keep them all in an exel file. the chances are pretty slim, since the first 2 numbers of the ip range stay the same for most dial in numbers, like 24.53.XXX.XXX the X ones change. but this can also depend on your isp and how many ips they are assigned. i noticed a lot of dialup providers share the same dial in numbers.
usually, yep you'll have nearly 1 in a million chance of getting the same ip. but its still there, i actually caught same ips before and just disconnected and reconnected to get a new one. |
| ebayvictim | 02-07-2008 11:23 PM | I keep a list of my IP's in an excel file also. So when I reboot my modem, I open the spreadsheet, hit Control F (for find) and paste in the IP address. I immediately know if I've used it before. If it's a new IP I decide which account to log in with and paste it to that column. Takes just a few secs....and no more worries on my part! |
| k1ley4evr | 02-15-2008 12:47 PM | do something reading on the forum and youll find all your answers. |
| powerbid | 02-15-2008 02:14 PM | :) nice quick clever answer :d |
| thelizardking | 02-15-2008 03:12 PM | use simon.com the minimum is $20+$2 fee use your real info to buy the card then you can register the card to any address.
Im not sure what you mean by "I want to chain them together" but each account has to have a different card, IP, Paypal, address, email, etc...
Read, Read, Read, this forum before you start. Good Luck. |

I do have a few questions for someone who has registered multiple accounts and successfully sold on them.
1. How long should I wait to register the account as a sellers account? (I am assuming it is not a good idea to register as a seller the same day as initially registering the account.)
2. And if I wait to register as a seller, does this mean I should wait an additional 30 days to list or does the 30 days start from the initial registration? Do you think there should be a waiting period at all as long as 30 days has elapsed since first registering the buyers account? EG- the account is over 30 days old but is not a sellers account. Register today as a seller - could I list today without sending out any red flags?
3. From your experience do you think it matters whether or not you verify via phone or visa card? Is one better than the other? Does verifying via phone look less trustworthy to ebay than a visa verification?
4. And finally, when you register these accounts do you act like you are a new buyer -meaning do you use the search functions to view auctions, perhaps even buy stuff, build some feedback etc? Or do you think it is okay to simply open the account, let it sit (meaning not log back in), and after 30 days register as sellers account and start selling?
I look forward to your responses. | so you have 17 18 accounts now ?roflmao |
| koalawash | 02-16-2008 12:37 PM | What's so funny about that? |
| ebayhateluv | 02-16-2008 03:13 PM | Could Someone be a Snooper?? |
| coolandcalm | 02-16-2008 04:09 PM | I am with you ebayhateluv, we really gotta be on the lookout for the snoopers |
| GreenBean | 02-16-2008 09:01 PM | I never kiss on the first date. |
| sherridan | 02-18-2008 08:54 PM | I don't know if the "snooper" comment was aimed towards myself. I hope not. I too was once a powerseller on ebay and was given the boot for vero reasons. I have tried multiple times to get back on, with alot of help from this forum. However, I keep getting suspended (I think by a competitor). I have been creating accounts for the last month or so with the hope of keeping at least one account active.
All the questions I have asked above are valid questions that I am hoping to get some answers to.
Thanks! |
| ebayhateluv | 02-18-2008 09:20 PM | HI, Sherridan, no, we just Joke around alot here, to break the depression of being booted :)
anyhow, Have you followed aspkins guide, and used maybe a library to create an acct or 2?
-- I have had alot of success, in keeping my accts in groups, or blocks.. so that if they take 1 down, or 2 or 3, all cannot go down at once, its all in the Numbers..
--I have figured out my accts have approx 3 % chance of all going down..
Best of Luck :) |
| ebayhateluv | 02-28-2008 03:23 PM | ** Creating Accounts around Town...Another HIDDEN I.P. ** HI:
Besides the Local Libraries, and the Local Internet Cafes...
While driving around today,, I found another "I.P."...
If you have a local KINKOS in your town, they only charge $6.00/hour..for the usb cable plug into your laptop, and they also have stand alone pcs, for .18 cents/min...
So, i spent about 30 minutes on one, it was alittle over 3 bucks...
Just thought I'd share this. :)) |
| rond100 | 02-28-2008 03:41 PM | Good call I have been using the this method for awhile now.
You can get a Wifi locator and check for a signal before opening your laptop to check for a connection.
I use my Iphone to find unlock wifi connections and log in with the laptop.
Any Smart phone will do the same for you.
You can get a key chain wifi locator online for about $20 but it doesn't discriminate between a locked signal and and unlocked signal. |
| thelizardking | 02-28-2008 03:50 PM | Good find, I have found a couple wifi spots I use, most used is the resturant/cafe across the street.. |
| ivegotinfo | 02-28-2008 04:56 PM | thats a good idea. :) |
| ebay-sucks | 02-28-2008 05:53 PM | I used Kinkos allot while on vacation before I bought a laptop.
As always ebayhateluv, you are golden on things.
Many would not know this.
I am having trouble finding any open IPs here in my town, only one I have found so far is a college near by and you have to call them to get a guest password first. Cannot cnnect at any of the restaurants or hospitals and evne McD's charges 29.00 per month to connect. Even the hotels that are listed as wifi are not open without a password. |
| ebayvictim | 02-28-2008 09:20 PM | Since I have AT&T DSL I can use all their wifi hotspots for free. Here that includes Barne's & Noble, Books-a-Million, and McDonalds. I have T-Mobile cell so I can log into their hotspots at any Starbucks. Starting this summer starbucks is converting over to AT&T. |
| koalawash | 03-01-2008 02:07 AM | Hopefully someone didn't create a suspended account at that same Kinkos before. ;) |
| Jonas | 03-01-2008 02:34 AM | There's some cheap ISPs that are $10 a month dialup. You could pay $10 a month or you could spend hours driving around the city. I believe the cost of gas may be more if you keep coming back all the time so even if you're broke from a recent ebay suspension you still have to pay gas. Then there's the time value of money.
If dialup is slow, turn pictures off. Turning pictures off is best when you read email, anyway. |
| siashay | 03-01-2008 09:38 AM | I camp in the summer, and every campground has wifi now. So if you live near a campground. I have gone to a hotel in my town and sat in the lobby. and out airport has wifi, so you can sit in there and use the comp. and our airport has wifi, so strong you can sit in the parking lot and get a signal. |

| SHAF01 | 03-01-2008 03:15 PM | Help with new accounts Hi, firstly let me say this forum is just brilliant! I have read through it and want to clarify a few points and get some advice from you guys. I am in the UK, I have never been suspended but i want to be able to have at least 5 ebay accounts. I currently have 2 ebay accounts, each ebay account has different paypal account, different email address and the bank accounts on both these accounts are also different although i log into them from the same pc. Here are the points i need clarification on:
1. If i open 3 more ebay accounts do they need to be in my name or could i make up a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and address etc? Can they all be in my name, but i know if they are and i do get suspended they will drop like dominoes...right?
2. Is it correct that i could make up paypal accounts with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ names but my own bank details? I got plenty of bank accounts.
3. I use a cable modem for broadband, if i created dial up accounts on the pc for my separate ebay accounts, would this work as please correct me if i am wrong here but do you get a different ip address when you log in using dial up?
All your help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks
Shaf

| ebayhateluv | 03-04-2008 02:00 PM | HI, Welcome!
Theres a new section for just UK.. on main screen..
also- the best advice, would come from other uk members, as they know the ins/outs..
please try a pm to members powerbid, or Mantisinc |
| mantisinc | 03-04-2008 02:55 PM | Shaf, as a rule, you need to have 1 ebay account per paypal account. Now ebay are requring you to link a verified paypal account to your ebay account before selling, so paypal account will drop as fast as ebay accounts now.
See my topic on "proven method for opening up ebay account in the UK" in the ebay discussion forum. Gives details on how to open up multiple accounts and the risks associated with each.
Any more Q's post up or feel free to shoot me over a PM. :) |

quick questions: how did you get easily plenty of (UK?) bank accounts ? |
| GreenBean | 03-11-2008 03:31 PM | Have you tried RBS. That allows several accounts. |
| PinchHarmonic | 03-11-2008 03:40 PM | Managing your mutltiple Ebay Accounts I'm really considering hitting up a few coffee shops around the area to make a few accounts, but what about the accounts I make that need constant attention?
I know i can do basic things in Auctiva, and I can answer emails through my gmail account (just don't hit the yellow button right?), but I'm worried about things like printing labels, marking items payed from money orders, things that I do daily.
Is my only solution to have some extra IPs given to me by my ISP? And obviously a few routers to take advantage of that. I was told my ISP may charge a lot of extra IPSs |
| jerry0202 | 03-11-2008 04:46 PM | but i think it's hard to go on later,as ebay info was connect with paypal.i have 10 ids and only have one paypal.for now,10 ids suspend!and one paypal limit! |
| jerry0202 | 03-11-2008 04:47 PM | ebay start CRAZYYYYYY! they are playing fire! | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:26 PM. | |
