Help with limited Paypal account

Hi guys,

So, a long time ago when i was starting at Paypal i got this account limited with 100€ on it. If i remember correctly at that time i tried everything to unlock it without any luck, obviously. I'm pretty sure that at that time i googled for some CC numbers trying to verify it so my account got unlocked (i know, dumb me /facepalm).

Today i logged back in on the account and i see that i indeed managed to get a linked CC even if it was not mine and it says in the beggining the following:

"Your debit or credit card issuer let us know that your card was used without your permission. So we just want to make sure that you authorized any recent Paypal payments."

At that time i was really dumb to add something that wasn't mine. I checked and no transactions were made using that card.

Now, if i want to withdraw the money that's on the account, i need to link a bank account, and that is mine and was my real info. Would i be in trouble if i were to do that? Because of all this mess?

You could set up a account with someone like WorldFirst this will allow you to withdraw the

money to World First and then send it to your bank.

OP, realistically nothing will happen, so go ahead and withdraw it. And if they really wanted to find you, they could most likely do it even without the bank account...

If he's asking about withdrawing the money then it should be pretty obvious that it's not on any sort of hold. Yet another post for the sake of a post from you...

What difference would withdrawing to World First first (lol) make? You're still going to have to send it to your bank account... as you say.

What difference would withdrawing to World First first (lol) make? You're still going to have to send it to your bank account... as you say.

The difference is that when you withdraw it, World First arent going to deny the

deposit for mismatch of name, if the OP is with a bank like Lloyds, well then

chances are it will be denied and go back to paypal, point being, its leaving a

paper trail with the name written all over it.

Yes he does he clearly states.. ' i need to link a bank account, and that is mine and was my real info'

Nowhere in that quote does it state anything about a concern of mismatching names being rejected by his bank...

His only concern was that he could be potentially traced by the authorities for his "wrongdoing". I told him that it was extremely unlikely that they would even try it, but that if they wanted to, they would be able to do this even if he uses World First or whatever. So it's ultimately irrelevant to this thread.

Yes, i wasn't talking about mismatch names but getting my real info out there.

Anyway, i've tried to link it in the past 2 days and all i get is an error message:

"We were unable to process your bank account registration at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again at a later date.
