Twice in the past 2 months. When did this happen , that you can't add a bank account ?

I think that's after the 180 days. I never leave enough money in there to care. I'm a huge fan of their automatic cash sweep tool.

Then its definetely a good tip that IF you already have a bank account attached to Paypal not to remove it if you get a limitation, I know you cant physically remove it but IF you cancel the Direct Debit PP will remove the bank account and then you have the problem of not being able to add another bank account.

So what are the options if they dont let you add a bank account if you are limited and the 180 days has past?
Do they send you a cheque OR can you ring them and get a PP rep to manually add a bank account for you?

CaptainJack | Please don't post information on the board that isn't accurate. It only confuses people. You can absolutely add a bank account after 180 days. I've done it dozens of times.

Maybe you can but others have said they haven't been able to.
As I said it has previously been discussed and confirmed.
You are not the only PayPal user in the world and people have different experiences.
So who put you in charge?

lol...WTF...this thread is back up and running. I have tried to add a bank account but it is not allowing me to. I will try after the 180 days. If jessinkaron added a bank account to his paypal account after 180 days, then there might still be some hope. I will try after 180 days but if not I heard that if you call paypal, they will let you change the address to which the check will be sent out to. Let's see what happens after 180 days is up! I never should have left 2k in my account in the first place.....this is all my fault. I should have split the income between accounts.

I am sorry to hear that. Recently they limited my account and after i provided all information and called them many times, they restored my account. I still have fear they will do it again....but dont worry, i have a booklet that may help you even when they say they have indefinitely suspended you. Dont give up, by law paypal cannot keep your money for 180 days. i am not sure how to attack the booklet here but i will try to copy and paste if i dont find a way to attach.
If you are genuine person and they are suspending for no good reason, you should call them and speak to supervisor, e-mail seniors explaining your situation & when you speak to supervisor tell them you take further action legally if they dont get back to your within 48 hrs with a decision.... i know someone who was suspended indefnitely, but got his money back. depending on how much money you have, if you have £2000, they can keep £200 in there incase of charge back and give you the remaining. please do not give up! CALL them
What do you guys say ?? is there anyone who agree with me??
Keep us updated & good luck.

I talked to paypal today. I talked to a supervisor and she told me that paypal can end the limitation early after 45 days. She said since it has only been 30 days, she can not do anything. The supervisor told me that I may get my funds after 45 days if I call paypal. But, she said there is no guarantees and the limitation department will look at my account again.

If Paypal close your account, inform them that you are no longer bound by their terms and conditions and to release YOUR money immediately. If you do not have disputes, they should return all the money. Send a letter threatening legal action if they don't comply. Or tell them you intend to close your account and no longer wish to be bound by their terms.

Well he only has address issue and i am sure he can do something about it. please dont give up....i am glad you called. The problem is when paypal tell us our account is suspended indefinitely, we take no as an answer, we should stand for our rights and speak to paypal....by law they cannot keep our money!!! Act cool, be a gentleman even if are not stealth. Good luck Burning, i hope it works out for you. Also paypal loves to play around, if the supervisor said, they may release your payment, tell her to send it via e-mail in writing so that you a proof later. Call again! keep us updated.

I am going to call them tomorrow again. I am not losing hope. I am going to try to talk to a supervisor. We'll see how things go tomorrow.

Burning, I could not add a bank account during the 180 day hold, however I could add a bank account AFTER the 180 days had passed.
It would be nice to know if this IS the case for all and not a one off fluke.
Obviuosly if you can add a bank account to withdraw you can never use it again.
