Default Switching To Paymate

Does Ebay get suspicious when you drop Paypal and go with Paymate?
Ebay has been going light lately it seems, as far as troubles go. I had one PP limitattion and beat it, but now a second one and I can't overcome this one. SS# among other things.

Nothing happened when I switched over, but my Paypal was intact and still linked.

I personally believe paypal is the main payment processor ebay pushes, because it is meant for prime customers. I think the other processors are more more people with worse credit, ie more expensive, longer holds etc.

But it depends on why the paypal account was kicked. sometimes paypal goes down, and ebay doesn't go down......

Ebay and Paypal work together to commit fraud they want you to use paypal and become verified so they can have access to your funds and other reasons, the few people that drop paypal isn't gonna hurt em too much but they might require it from you later.

I am pretty sure im getting my original ebay account with my personal details back. I thought it was closed forever but since being called up and harrased to pay my 48 dollar ebay fees they told me it would be reinstated once i did. So i payed the fees and am expecting it to be useable again soon but im pretty sure the paypal i used with it will still be non useable. I am just gonna make a paymate account and link it with the ebay and use it as a normal buying/selling account

Not sure, all I know is my payments haven't been processed once yet, they're still holding on to all my payments after about 2 weeks, can't even issue a refund, THIEVES.

You will be running back to paypal. That's how much Paymate sucks. Complete waste of time. Plus when I used Paymate exclusively, I got limited by a department called "Merchant Vetting"... There seems to be a department dedicated to screwing with people who make decent money without paypal. They got all the angles figured out kiddo.

Yes, paymate accepts canadians and many other countries. Go to paymate.com and click register for selling and then look on the countries tab and canada along with many other countries pop up.

What a big surprise, every customer is having trouble paying with Paymate. Too good to be true, now I have proof.

You can't register as seller in Canada - wrong info as sidenote.

From Company website:

Paymate is available to SELLERS in Australia, New Zealand and USA and International BUYERS using credit cards in the following countries. Buyers in China can use Alipay via our China Payments Service to pay sellers in Australia only (at this time).

Sigh Canadians get shaft but ah well...

You can buy from Canada but selling is not doable.

Last time I tried to setup paymate they said I could use them but I had to have a us address and a us bank. And I think even a US tax ID. That was 3 months ago, so not sure if they changed it.

There was a paymate.ca for awhile. Couldn't do anything on the site, and I was told by paymate they would have it running soon - and now its gone.

And I will add: There is a very good reason why setting up anything but paypal is a pain. They dont want you using anything else. Period. They only offer these other crap companies as a way to fend off monopoly legal actions

They could add other forms of payment and include them into eBay seamlessly. They just wont.

Sadly makes sense too - i mean if you were a company, and you owned your own payment processor, you would want most business to go into your own payment processor - logically.

Sure it isn't fair but it is the reality until forced otherwise.

I received a payment from ebay on August 30th, and I still haven't received the bank deposit. I call and email them and I can't get no response. I use to get the deposits within 7 days, not sure what is going on.

Same here, I had about 10 payments held for 2 weeks then finally rejected and no response to e-mails, guess they don't work with stealth accounts anymore.

What is going on with Paymate! It has been 8 business days and no deposits have been made to my account!!!! Paymate is not even getting back to my on the phone nor email. This doesn't look good at all. I may write a complaint to Ebay about this. I am going to threaten Paymate and tell them I will report them to Ebay. Hopefully this threat tactic will work in my favor.

I got this email from paymate today after complaining about paymate processing wait times since its been 2-3 weeks now.

Dear Paymate Customer:

First, if you’ve received a note from Paymate requesting a signature page to be faxed back to us please do so as soon as possible. If you have not please let me know, and I’ll provide it to you right away. In the past couple of weeks our payment processor, Paymentech, has been holding our seller’s funds. We’ve been working with them diligently to get them to release those funds to you with little success. That said, if we can provide them with tracking information that shows that the items have been shipped and/or a confirmation from the buyer that they’ve received the goods we can work with them to release your payments. We’ve now cutover most accounts to a new processor to avoid a recurrence of this type of practice in the future. Thanks in advance for cooperation and understanding.
